Yes!! Was hoping you noticed the Detroit rebuild. They signed hellybuyck and that was the final piece to the puzzle. Tandem of Cossa/Helly is near impossible to beat! Love your post season recaps haha. Making quite the duo 😂
Was tempted to play this go around but rather like being an impartial observer lol.

Lol the Canes are killing Patches development, he was better at 17!!

I never took the time to check player's progressions, but wow I'm surprised to see that, similar to real life, throwing an 18 years old goalie to the wolves is not working great for their development.

The other goalies in the sim seem to be developing fine fortunately! Tenders looks like he's gonna be a beast!
Jaworski too but man that poor blocker attribute haha

Oof, pretty bad regression from the Nordiques this season, seemed like a set back for Stanek as well with his mentals/physicals taking some big hits but probably for the best best in the long-run since they add another top 5 pick. If Dvorsky/Kosick/Semyonov all develop well then it looks like we'll be a pretty lethal team offensively with Necas, Zary, and Berggren hopefully developing as well.

They did manage to score quite a bit last year still but allowing goals is still a major problem, hopefully they can address the defense a bit the next couple of years.

francis246's Top 10 Superstar Rankings (Season 6)
Player Details
Previous Season Rank
Francis' Notes
1. LW/RW, Matiss Berzins 🇪🇪
NR
The big 6'6" winger is quickly establishing himself as a household name with the Leafs. Climbing up the depth chart and proving he can produce in a secondary role. Had a significant 2nd season in the NHL.
2. RW/LW, Pavol Palffy 🇸🇰
7 (^5)
Palffy has really held his own in the NHL since making the jump. He's been very consistent and can produce offensively. What would probably put him at #1 is if he can start to score more goals.
3. G, Trusty Patches 🇳🇱
2 (ˇ1)
Patches has simply been the best goaltender in the series at the NHL level so far. He had a hell of a season this year and helped Carolina win a big number of games when he started.
4. RW/LW, Herold Van den Berg 🇳🇱
4 (-)
Just a hell of a season for Herold! He continues to impress. He went down to Rockford in the AHL and just dominated 31 points in 25 games. Then came up to the Blackhawks and had 34 points in 55 games a Rookie. Expect him to climb up these rankings.
5. RD/RW/LW, Rockeem Maivia 🇺🇸
3 (ˇ2)
A little drop for Maivia but honestly he really had a hell of year too, he put up a cool 41 points and made his Men's International debut for Team USA. He's really starting to embrace that #1 defenseman role!
6. RW/LW, Nico Gallowitsch 🇦🇹
NR
Making his debut on the top 10 list is Gallowitsch who had a pretty successful 2nd year with the Flames, his goals, assists and points totals all went up. He had a 13.2% shooting percentage. I think he's going to be a fast riser.
7. C/LW, Radek Stanek 🇸🇰
8 (^1)
A slight jump up in the standings for Stanek, despite his point totals have been decreasing steadily. He's still having solid campaigns but he had a really low shooting percentage. So I'm hoping next year he's going to have a better offensive year.
8. LW/RW, William Buche 🇫🇷
NR
Buche joins the Top 10 list! I think Buche is really underrated, he's starting to show he can be a premier play maker in the league. He's going to keep improving and become more consistent.
9. C/RW, Andy McDonald 🇬🇧
9 (-)
Andy has had some tough times in Kansas City but he's starting to take advantage of the opportunities presented to him. I'd really like KC to give him a chance higher in the lineup to see what he can do.
10. RD/LD, Karst Van Der Schaaf🇳🇱
NR
Karst is starting to impress me a lot. He's putting up great numbers as a 3/4 defenseman on the Winnipeg Jets. He had 26 points and is only project to get better!

The Monarch's will have a long run before getting close to the playoffs. Hopefully Andy and Petr are patient to build a team from scratch. With last place they will hopefully get some good prospects again to build a strong young core like the real Senators for example.
Great to see that Andy made finally the UK Men's team and hopefully Reuben will follow closely to help UK to come back to the top division.

Yessss Genghis Khan hit his 150PIM in a season milestone I set out at the beginning of the thread

Guess I wasn't optimistic enough, let's see if he can get 200PIMs.

Also can't even get a point per game in the lowest world championship division lol

First of many Jennings trophies for Patches ;)

Can't wait for him to become the defacto #1 in Carolina, but they got 3 years of an all star goalteder for 2M per year... they'll be able to add some good stuff up front hopefully!

Just wanted to check in and make sure everyone is enjoying this unique superstar! It’s been cool to track so far! Again I’m just on Vacation in Cuba at the moment. I will be back on Friday and resume updates then. I will likely start with honouring the request for v18 retirements first then post the update
