@Dakinjor sorry for it taking so long to get this out to you! But we finally get to say goodbye to Mr. Povysil. Doing this recap made me realize that Povysil really didn't get the proper recognition that he probably should have. Povysil is legitimately a generational player and a guy who's had a pretty big impact where ever he has played. Another 6'4 Two-Way Forward who can just completely take over games. He can play on your Power Play, he could play on your Penalty Kill and he can just provide you with unlimited offense. It baffles me that he and the others on Kansas City couldn't put it all together. From a young age we knew that Povyil would be a generational goal scorer. But we weren't expecting this. Finishing his WHL career he had 116 goals in 171 games and is one of the all-time goal scoring leaders in the WHL. That translated right over to the NHL where he was able to score 734 goals. What's crazy that in the height of his career he could probably be considered to be more of a playmaker as opposed to goal scorer but he was really both. The move to the Canucks seemed to be the pivotal stop in his career. Once he got there his game kind of exploded even more. He was most likely that final piece that Vancouver needed in order to help them get over the hump and win a few cups. He is also one of two superstars who are able to say they are apart of the Triple Gold Club! I think when it comes down to it, Povysil was probably robbed of a few awards and recognitions. But overall, a really great career! Congrats on an amazing career!
