Vaal had a cup of coffee in the NHL that i missed posting.
2026 NHL Entry Draft:
2026 NHL Entry Draft:
Wow, much better season for Quebec than I was expecting. 31 point gain from last season and the Calder for Stanek. Pretty good.
Would definitely be interested in seeing QuebecWas def a contender for BioSteel player of the year. He had a hell of a year. But Berzins ripped up the AHL and it wasn't even close!
If you guys want to know who is on your teams NHL roster let me know. I can post those rosters and probably do a trade/free agency update. For example the Portland Rosebuds are going to be stacked in a few years. They drafted both Iginla brothers, they have 3 or 4 HF Boards superstars and just traded for Nick Robertson from the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Trashers were also a minor league team owned by Mafia guys kid that owned a waste management company (sounds almost like a real life Tony Soprano) called the Danbury Trashers. There was a documentary on Netflix about it (if they have it in your country)Nah, it's fine. Actually many people mistype the name… It's kinda offending though for a fan, because as you surely know, trash means junk, rubbish.
Right @BKarchitect Kansas made really small steps and have not same caliber of roster like Portland or Quebec.
@francis246 I am keen to see the roster for the Kansas City Monarchs. I have a bit the feeling Andy is close to carry the team upfront and I am right he is the only EHM Superstar at the team.
Bad to see that Kansas drafted another goalie before Reuben, otherwise there was a good chance that the two English national team mates could play for the Monarchs together.
Looks like baby steps for my hometown Kansas City Monarchs. Slight increase in points but fell to last in the conference and second-to-last overall. I feel a very solid rookie season from McDonald @Tallasar. Wont hurt to have another high pick but expectations will start increasing from fans here on out.
Interestingly it looks like the bottom has fallen out for the Caps and Pens - which seems pretty reasonable come 3-4 years from now. Leafs suffering also. Habs still haven't climbed out of the abyss and now have the shame that the rival Nordiques started with zero on their roster 4 years ago and now are ahead of them...LOLOLOL.
The Canucks were the LAST (#12) seed in the West, barely making the play-in tournament and somehow they go all the way to win the Cup...that's a pretty spectacular story and way to end Canada's Cup drought. @francis246 I’d be interested in knowing who the Conn Smythe hero was for Vancouver during their run. They beat the #1, #2, #3 and #5 teams in the West and then the Sabres who were the #1 seed in the East in the Finals…truly an underdog story for the ages.
Also did anybody notice that the Cup finals in 23 and 24 were exactly the same...unless my eyes aren't working...the Bruins beat the Predators 4-2 each year. And each of those years the Preds beat the Avs in the Western Conference Finals. Speaking of my Avs:
2022 - Stanley Cup Champions
2023 - Lost in Western Conference Finals
2024 - Lost in Western Conference Finals
2025 - Lost in Stanley Cup Finals
2026 - Lost in Western Conference Finals
I feel like they've been a few puck bounces away from being something of a dynasty but just haven't been able to complete the job since 2022.
And how about Johnny Hockey winning the Cup with Columbus in 2025? Sure to piss Flames fans off!
Would definitely be interested in seeing Quebec
I’m also wondering how he won the overage award but I’ll always take the accolades, excited to see him have a very strong draft year as well as excited for the first time now after 3 versions to team up with another superstar!Well the Kansas City Monarchs continue to suck but they had company towards the bottom. Rather disappointing stat line / sophomore totals for McDonald @Tallasar but I think some bad puck luck with his shooting % and bad teammates...if you normalize the shooting percentage he's closer to a 25 goal season. His player rating was basically for second among all the superstars in the NHL this year so I think he played better than the G/A/PTS shows. Although his average ice time of 14:30 per game is concerning to me...maybe the coach isn't fully utilizing him. Grrr....
Silver lining? Another superstar - Mr. Povysil @Dakinjor will be joining McDonald in KC as the #1 pick of 2027. What a decorated junior career - although I'm curious as to how Mr. Povysil won the "Overage" player of the year award in the WHL even though it's his 18/19 year-old season. I may have to look at the award settings in the DB lol...
Also I’m glad Van den Berg @Treb is going to stop menacing the poor BeNe league next year and finally come yo North America!
Plus the Dutch revolution is already starting to take shape - they got promoted to the main WC tournament next year…
And rebuild done in Detroit. Stevie Y cements his legend.
