- More of the same for McDonald @Tallasar the guy definitely needs a trade to maximize his potential.

- Povysil on the other hand…what a season @Dakinjor! He and Palffy and Reynolds seem to be the superstars of the superstars thus far. Huge season in the NHL and all kinds of medals awards for Team Canada!

- Welcome to the Monarchs Nuka! @DaBossN we are a terrible franchise but the city is hungry for a winner…maybe now with three of you on board we can finally get something done! No playoffs but at least closer this past season!

So many superstars have found their way o to the same clubs, tons of “duos” out there, is that pretty normal for this series?
Finally, This is my last stop. I'll make you proud!

Glad I'm no longer alone on Quebec with Hoff getting claimed on waivers!

Have to assume Quebec and Kansas can both get things turned around at some point with the sheer amount of lotto picks they're collecting. They have to be drafting at least a few good players.

Apologies gents, school just started up. But I’ve got the update ready to be posted. I will post once I’m home. And I’ve actually done rankings for this update.

Just a note, a lot of players have developed and seen point increases this upcoming season. Others just may need a change of scenery to get out of 3rd/4th line duties

Season 11 Update (2032/33): Apologies on the delay, I'm back and it's time to break out! (Part 2)

Superstar Player News and Updates:
  • On September 28th, 2032 - The Calgary Flames claimed Adaari Vaal off waivers from the Columbus Blue Jackets

  • On December, 17th, 2032 - The Kansas City Monarchs traded Nuka Seyde to the Edmonton Oilers for Luke Proffitt

League News and Tidbits:
  • I've been hired by the Toronto Maple Leafs to bring them to glory. Matthews and Marner are not getting younger! We may bring a superstar or two on board!

  • The Carolina Hurricanes and St. Louis Blues had a crazy battle all season long. With the Carolina Hurricanes taking the American Championship this year and the St. Louis Blues taking the more important Stanley Cup Championship. I am pretty sure this is going to be a rivalry for the ages moving forward!

francis246's Top 10 Superstar Rankings (Season 10) TBD
Player DetailsPrevious Season Rank (S8)Francis' Notes
1. C, Petr Povysil 🇨🇦Povysil is on the cusp of really breaking out as one of the most dominating players in the NHL. He's becoming a leader and a dominant force, he hasn't looked back. I expect him to break the 100 point barrier this upcoming season.
2. G, Trusty Patches🇳🇱Patches might very well be the best goaltender in the world at the moment. He's finally found his footing as an NHL starter. Only losing 8 games in regular time is amazing. Starting him is a win and he proved that by helping his team win an American Championship and being the runners up in the Stanley Cup Finals.
3. RD/RW/LD, Rockeem Maivia🇦🇸"Finally the ROCK has come back!" After some injury riddled seasons Maivia has come and dominated. His play really helped elevate Portland to the top of the West. I think he'll score more in the future, his shooting percentage was really low.
4. RW/LW, Pavel Palffy 🇸🇰A bit of a step back for Palffy, but he's still putting up great numbers. I think for him it's about finding another gear that allows him to be elite consistently throughout the entire season.
5. G, Aaron Tenders 🇸🇰Quietly he is one of the most successful superstars. He's putting up great numbers in Montreal as the starter. I just hope they don't waste his prime years.
6. C/LW, Noah Sebastian 🇱🇻A break out season for Sebastian. San Jose has completed the rebuild and now they are looking to compete. Sebastian is now getting reps as their #1 Center and looking great.
7. LD/RD, Ty Reynolds 🇨🇦Reynolds is so much fun to watch, he is a high octane offensive defenseman and is proving that he can really lead the charge for a team. I equate him to Erik Karlsson in his prime. His numbers dipped down a bit this year but he was taking on more offensive responsibility.
8. C, Genghis Khan 🇲🇳Khan has been growing on me, he is slowly becoming one of the most effective third liners i the league. His offensive numbers continue to climb/trend upwards and he is shooting a lot more!
9. RD/LD, Karst Van Der Schaaf 🇳🇱Starting to prove he can hang with the big boys. In really his first season as the bonefide #1 dman for the Jets, he proved he can shoulder the load offensively. He put up 52 points on 2.3% shooting. The sky is the limit for him.
10. RW/LW, Herold Van den Berg 🇳🇱Mr. Consistent does it again, he has pretty much put up 50 points every year for the most part since being called up a couple of seasons ago. I wonder if he will break through and score 60.

We did it KC! Made the playoffs! Why the heck isn’t Povysil @Dakinjor re-signed to a max contract yet???? Don’t blow this idiots. Lol. Also please sign The Rock, surely gonna get paid in free agency.

Andy @Tallasar may continue to be a third liner in the NHL but he had an amazing run at the WC’s for GB. Nice breakthrough there!

Jaworski @Jabs102501 vs Trusty @abo9 may be the hottest NHL goaltending rivalry we’ve seen in a long time!

Andy's best years get wasted on this Kansas team, he is capable to play a higher role and minutes when he get a chance, what he showed in the WC for the UK team.
Nice to see the progress from Povysil which looks like is the Center number 1.
@francis246, please trade him to another team or let him go back to Europe, Kansas is the graveyard for his hockey career.
I am now quite in some Superstars and Andy is by far the worst progressing player which I built.

Clash if titans in the playoffs between two superstar goaltenders :D

Mr. Tenders should join the party in the American division!

Also just noticed man Povysil puts a ton of rubber on net, interested to see what contract he gets! @francis246 what are the odds we could see the lineup or depth chart for KCM? (Personally hope Povysil reups but I want them to suffer a bit for messing around with Andy for so long.)

@BKarchitect dont know if you’re in the process of working on your next update. I’m loving the sim and actually playing as a GM at the same time. I was wondering if there was a a way to balance the schedule and have the American championship not take such a toll on the player stamina. Im finding players are exhausted so lots more injuries and also harder to perform. Maybe my training isn’t set properly?

It's hard to pack an in-season tournament and also maintain 82 games. Originally as you recall I had shortened the NHL season but I didn't like the unfamiliar stats and I like the idea that users can turn the tournaments on or off and still have a standard 82 game season.

I did make the schedules so that you never play 3 games on 3 consecutive nights but because of the international breaks and February break, there is a pretty consistent 2 games, 1 game off, 2 games rhythm to the schedule in order to fit all the games in. I can't really expand the calendar much either.

One idea I may try to experiment with is a bigger squad limit - boosting from 23 to maybe 28 or something like that? It would be akin to when teams had taxi squads during COVID. It would allow more flexibility to rotate some players during the different tournaments and challenge the user to determine where to place their priorities. It may also have a side-effect of reducing dumb CPU waiver choices if they can keep more players on the squad.
