Absolutely bonkers to watch what my character is doing to the league. Has to go down as one of the greatest dmen in history. I don't want this to end but can't wait for the career recap. Also super glad he was selected for Team Reynolds. Maybe his greatest accomplishment to date.🤣

You literally created Bobby Orr. Another Cup, another clean sweep of all awards and yet managed to win the Art Ross this time as well.

Greatest defender I’ve ever seen in EHM.

PS props to Scheer @TradeAllStromes as well. He’s gonna go down as the guy behind the guy - Reynolds’ long-time partner in crime who was a #1 stud in his own right yet, albeit with less flash - but just super effective. Some of Reynolds’ big seasons, Scheer actually had the higher average rating. Not this year of course but I think Scheer is a HoF defender in his own right.

That pairing is single handedly one of the best pairings I've ever seen formed. Rockeem Maivia is also a beast of a defender. He doesn't put up the most points, but his Av R's throughout his career have been incredible

It’s the weekend! Which means a good variety of updates and retirements! With people starting to retire, it’s time to add to our change list. Please quote reply and let me know if you want things changed or added for next version! Loved that we added goals and guaranteed/vs random.

Did you guys like the junior player of the year and player of the year additions?

I liked the player of the year and junior additions, however I wasn’t a big fan of the yearly american and Canadian cups as I felt it just added unnecessary bloat to each sim year + iirc it also messes with our players Stam?

The first superstar we say good bye to, is David Hoff. Where do I start, this guy is a goal scorer. At every level he has been able to fill the net at a reasonable rate. If we look at Hoff's early career, things looked to be on the up and up. He had a dominating year in the QMHL, scoring 44 goals in 46 games. That year he only had 10 assists. I feel like that aspect may have turned off a few scouts in the QMJHL. There were some talks about him going 1st overall in the QMJHL Selection Draft, but I think many scouts wanted to see what he could do away from the puck. Can he be defensively responsible, can he create plays and pass the puck? Or is he just a shooter. After going 6th overall to Victoriaville, Hoff went on to have some really good major junior years. Including scoring 92 in his draft year. After that though, Hoff was drafted 80th overall by the Thrashers, however his game kind of tailed off in the later years in the QMJHL. Many were expecting him to make the Thrashers roster after his 3rd QMJHL season but he was sent back for a final season. Hoff just wasn't living up to expectations. He was then traded to the Washington Capitals. However Hoff seemed to make a good transition to pro hockey, having some pretty good seasons in the AHL. He started to learn a strong two-way game and was an elite scorer at the AHL level. He earned some call ups here and there but just could never find ways to completely stick in the NHL. From 2031-2033 he had some solid years with his hometown team the Quebec Nordiques. Many were shocked that they didn't try and bring him back, but he regained his footing with the Maple Leafs for a few seasons before returning to Atlanta & Quebec for a final stint in the NHL. While Hoff didn't have the best NHL career, he still had a lot of great moments, including being apart of 4 WJC squads for Canada, winning multiple MVP's and awards at the AHL level and a Turner Cup and Calder Cup. I'm sure many would have loved to see more from him at the NHL level. But this is a career to be appreciative of! Congrats on a great career @Dutronc

Amazing post man!! Thanks alot for this project !! :)

@BKarchitect with this version wrapping up, let me know when you want to do the expansion draft!
I just created a spreadsheet of the "available" unprotected players. I'm thinking the easiest way to do this would be to upload it to Google Docs, have the team selectors be collaborators and then add notifications for whenever the spreadsheet is changed. So just over the course of a few days hopefully, people just go in there and make a selection when notified/as time allows.

Any other way seem better / easier than this?

I need 4 volunteers:
- Atlanta Thrashers picker
- Kansas City Scouts picker
- Portland Rosebuds picker
- Quebec Nordiques picker

Maybe a 5th person also that can co-admin the draft with me and help keep things running.
