Here's the cliff, everyone jump. EDM wins 4-2

I'm browsing the playoff teams to see which bandwagon I wanna hop on.. Was thinking Islanders but they've been melting down for a month now.
 
Richards needs to be bought out, nobody will trade for him.
We need to let Stoll walk (have a hard time believing Dean wont bring him back)
Greene needs to be a 7th d-man. Sutter has way too much love for him.
It's been great Williams, thx for everything.

Need to work out something with Sekera, can't let him get to July 1st
Kopi had a rough season. 8 year deal at 8 per would work.
Hopfull the Slava mess will work itself out.

Still think we need a little more offense and Sutter needs to figure out a way to make that happen. We have the players, theyre just not scoring like they should.

Stevens is an exact clone of Murray/Sutter hockey. Why do you think Stevens passed up TWO HC interviews to remain a King ?

You problem lies in Lombardi, and the entire Kings philosophy TOP down. Manchester plays the EXACT same system.
 
Jets are the better team. It is between Kings and Flames for 3rd place in division. Kings will win it. 4th line got killed tonight. Richards over Stoll a no brainer. Kopitar will step up.
 
We didn't cycle the puck at all this game, we played to the Oilers strength (run & gun) and it cost us.

One thing's for sure: Whatever happens in the last two games, after what's gone down the last three seasons there is no way I'm going to **** on this team.

Because i named players who have scored 30+ goals multiple times.
And all of them suddenly don't score anymore.

Carter is fine when he is scoring 40 goals, Toffoli is ok, Williams and Kopitars brutal choices are forced by the system the Kings are playing.

Circling the boards and throw the puck into the crowd in front of the net is going nowhere since Terry Murray.
On top entering the O-zone from the outer sides is taking choices away since you can just go to the inside.
If you enter in the center the opponent defender are forced to move towards the middle and this is opening the whole ice.

Our 3-2 rushes are best example for that. They don't even attack our winger anymore because they scouted us out since 5 years.
 
Jeez, studying the draft is going to be weird. Haven't done that in forever. Lombardi must be going crazy right now, I would love to see which drastic moves he's going to make.
 
I am a long time lurker and seldom post. Tonight requires a post. First I will say that I am definitely disappointed in tonight and what is a ridiculous loss against a miserably bad hockey club in a must win game for us. As a long time sports fan it definitely was a trap game. I was worried. It is frustrating that we got no help from any teams tonight, that being said, it is up to us to win our way in and not wait for others to lose, so we can't complain about that.

Next point, Kopi is a good hockey player, I am not a hater, but I would not be sad if we made a trade and went in a different direction. He just doesn't show up consistently enough, and we need our number one center to be an actual threat to score goals. He would make a perfect 2nd line center, but he is definitely not a first. Flame away. Just my opinion. By the way I have no idea who to trade him for, that is up to DL.

This has been a great run. How can any of us truly be mad at these guys who have given us so much to celebrate the past several years. I am thankful for 1 cup, but we actually have 2! I started watching the Kings as a 10 year old boy in 1980 and witnessed the Miracle on Manchester. I have seen too many losing years to count. The last 5 years have been the greatest years in all my years as a fan. Thank you Kings.

Lastly, If indeed we miss the playoffs, this will be a much needed rest for this group. There will be no built in excuse of being tired from all the games played in the post season. Nearly 6 months off, eliminates that excuse. If we are eliminated, lets rest up and re-tool. Kings fans, just be thankful for all that this group has given us as fans. I am sure the Sharks and Canucks fans would love to trade the fan playoff experiences from the last 5 years with us. Go Kings Go! It would be absolutely hilarious if we end up with one of the top 2 picks this years draft. #McEichelin2015

We are freaking 18th in goals scored with Williams, Brown, Kopitar, Richards, Carter, Gaborik, Toffoli and Peason.....

I hear you brother im frusrated as all hell right now. Sutter aint getting fired though. He really does need to change his offense mind set though. We should be scoring a hell of a lot more.
 
It's been half an hour since the game has been over, yet I still don't see any quotes on Twitter from Sutter or any of the players. How does that make any sense? Why is the coverage so horrible lately.
 
I dont see how the kings could get past the flames in the playoffs anyways, they're such a hard working group. I think they'd probably lose in 6 or 7 to the Canucks too. Sedins are playing so well this year and Bonino/Vrbata have finally given them a second line.

...Chicago, Anaheim.... no way in hell.


Let them do a little retool in the off season....come back stronger next season. You won two cups!!! ride that wave for the next 7 months haha

Of course you're not going to be as good when guys who were top 6 players like Brown and Richards turn into bottom six / AHL guys... hard to replace that depth.
 
Yeah, Kopitar/Quick/Doughty/Carter/Sutter are going no where.

People need to remove that out of their brains.
 
I'm super excited for the playoffs even if the Kings don't make it. So many good matchups. Hell, it'd be nice to watch and not have to have an anxiety attack every time the Kings play :laugh:
 
No worries Kings hockey always pervails. It looks bad like tonight in regular season but come playoffs every inch of ice matters and puck control wins. Also Quick wins games without much help needed. Calgary will be on outside looking in. We will destroy Canucks in 4 games. Then it does not matter who we play.
