Even when he flubs the puck, Bjornfot quickly recovers, hangs on to the puck, and makes a good pass to his open partner.

Are we sure this guy is only 18? He shows no nerves whatsoever.

The kid was a legit top 5 maybe top 10 pick at the latest before his draft year then he “stalled” because he didn’t take a step forward offensively!

Good win, a lot to like about this game.

Lizotte has been continuing his outstanding preseason, Emerson was right about this kid at the state of the franchise.
Bjornfot looks beyond what anyone was expecting this preseason, I would not be shocked if he is playing top pair minutes this season.
The vets look reinvigorated and the system seems a lot more fun. I like what TMac has done with the team so far.

Yep, haven't seen anything like this in a decade.

They'd be a near-perfect pairing. Lefty, righty. Both can skate. Great instincts on both ends. And, most importantly, both are high-IQ guys who will be deadlier than they ever look on the scoresheet. Doughty having a partner with such a high-IQ hockey sense would be phenomenal for both--and of course Drew mentoring TB is just about perfect.

So many years without top tier youth coming in...sure stalled things...and really no great trades or key free agent signings. Things can change fast. Some of the best moves,
were signing college free agents - not all of them pan out, but signing Iafallo, Petersen and now Lizotte, the Kings have added 3 legit players. Players like Amadio, Kempe
and Grundstrom may have good years as well, taking the next step up. Lizotte's gotta make the team and be 3C at least. He's like Johnny Hockey light. Really moves his feet. Hoven and now Fox
say he's 'shredded and ripped' Dude is serious about training and his game. Tenacity too. No fear.

It looks like the Kings will ice a decent team this year....and I want to see Turcotte have a 50 point year and sign in April. Can't wait. Suppose he may not,
but I am hoping. Even Hutton looks good. What the Hell is happening here?

That was so cool that TM called him that "Tobias is an impressive young man" . He even could have had 2 goals. Good shots when he moved in. He certianly does have offensive ability and his shot will get better. He's admitted he just started taking more offensive chances, the second half of last year. Wait until he works more on that part of his game. He excels at everything. I hope Drew goes to staff and tells them "I want Tobias as my partner". I want to wait and see if he makes the team and if he keeps #54. I want a BJORNFOT jersey.

Our two best prospects aren't even in camp too. Win or lose we actually have something to look forward to in the future. Just need a few prospects to pan out and we right back in it.

The Kings did a great move, signing Lizotte. All the teams were courting Jimmy Schuldt and other undrafted college seniors and here Lizotte just finished his Sophomore season and
offer him a contract! They have that St Cloud connection. Brilliant.

Complete opposite from Darryl sitter area kings. Our current team can actually skate and they are actually pretty fast. Old sharks coach dude with the killer head of hair, I like what I see so far.

Tend to agree re: Carter. I’d imagine he has a set of specific aims and targets for this preseason. Given his situation I’d be worried if that wasn’t the case. I’ve seen a couple of comments indicating he looks better than he did last year, maybe that’s an indication things are progressing to plan? I’m speculating of course, but as you say too much attention is being paid to individual form. They’re learning a new system and for the vets that will be a focus and a much bigger adjustment than for the young players. They’ve got years of muscle memory to unprogram. For the vets I don’t think we will know properly until the proper games begin. As long as they are working and listening at this stage I’m not too worried and only TM knows the truth of it.

I’ve really dislike the sand bagging Quick has had from some. I don’t dispute he’s past his best and that the transition to Campbell needs to happen. However the tone and disrespect he’s gotten from some has really been disappointing. There’s almost been a glee in some of the posts.

Quick in key spells has been the best goaltender in the game. He’s always given 100%, he’s been a leader, a class act. By all means debate his game all you want, but he’s earned our eternal respect and not giving it to him is a disgrace.

Bang on. The vitriol some posters have towards our big 3 is disturbing Imagine if they never won 2 cups, how bad would it have been then?
