It's once in a lifetime though. He's been an NHL assistant before. He's won every other international medal so I am sure Olympic gold would be cool to add too.

He played at F. That doesn’t always align in coaching but more often than not, it does. Would leave room for Jacques Martin to coach the D.

Is his mention of the fluid coaching search in Seattle a hint of sour grapes that he thought Tocch would get that job but didn't? I hope so cause that would be hilarious.

Discussions intenses entre Tourigny et les Coyotes
TRANSLATION:
According to our colleague Stéphane Leroux, discussions between André Tourigny and the Arizona Coyotes are going well for the position of head coach.
The Quebecker would spend the week in Arizona and "he would have spent Monday with President, Owner and General Manager Bill Armstrong discussing how he would view things if chosen."
Also according to his information, he will meet CEO Xavier A. Gutierrez on Tuesday and the president's son, Alex Meruelo Jr., on Thursday.
However, we should not expect an announcement before Friday.
If he gets the job, it will be his first experience as a head coach in the NHL. However, he played as an assistant with the Colorado Avalanche and the Ottawa Senators between 2013 and 2016.
He has been the head coach of the Ottawa 67's since the 2017-18 season in the OHL, with whom he maintained a record of 130 wins and 68 losses.
He lost in the OHL playoff final in 2018-19.
He has also been the head coach of Junior Team Canada for the past two editions. He won gold in 2020 and silver in 2021. He also won gold at the World Championship a few weeks ago, when he was Gerard Gallant's deputy

Well, RDS says Tourigny has meetings here in town clear through Thursday. So assuming everything goes well, they might hire him on Friday.
However, I’m thinking if Nelson has already gone through this same process, they may use next week for the decision making process.
And if they want to bring Lambert in, add another week or two to that. But with the draft being three weeks away, I have to think Lambert is not about to just START this process.
If I had to guess, this is a two horse race. And the details we are getting about Tourigny’s itinerary this week are probably what Nelson did last week, when news came out that MVR and others were out of the race and that Nelson was still a front-runner. His week in town created a lot of chatter. Like Tourigny’s seems to be.
My prediction is that Coyotes brass takes Friday to make a decision between Nelson and Tourigny. Reconvene Monday for a final conversation and make their decision. They officially announce Tuesday. Either Nelson or Tourigny.

I have Nelson and Tourigny even. But If Nelson comes with Simon and Tourigny comes with Groulx, then that gives Tourigny the edge for me.
