Everyone has to remember. How the Jet's are playing is what every team PoMo has ever coached has done. He gets a couple good seasons out of a team then they completely collapse. I don't know why his team's do this but they all have. And it's not just PoMo that has to go. The whole coaching staff must go as well.

Well you know the adage you can't fire the whole team. A coaching move is the easiest move to make.

I also think it's overdue, ever coach has a shelf life and Maurice has been here 7 years now. The roster composition was quite a bit different then. I think we need someone new to coach this team.

If Lowry can’t go is Copp going to Center the third line? Will they play both Bourque and Harkins st the same time? Will they bring up Gustafsson up and have Shore play 3rd line?

Well at least Jets fans can relish that their team is in the highlight reel of other players milestones.

The Hawks scored goals by going to the net. That 1st goal our defense was so high in the zone, that it was easy pickens. Jets were exposed in their man to man coverage, of not manning up. Credit to Chicago. They played in front of their goalie, they outnumbered the puck better.

We generated shots, shots, shots, but look where the goal came from: 2 foot tap in. Too many skilled players trusting their skill to score, but not showing the will.

Defense is a disaster. Why put Kulikov with Morrissey? Metrics would caution against it. Kulikov struggles far more than Sbisa on his offside. The slowness of our defense was exposed, as was its weakness.

We need help. Maurice isn't pushing the right buttons. Maybe he is starting to feel the heat under the collar, with his troops outmanned. With Lowry out what do you do?

I'd go back to the top 6 of Connor-Scheif-Laine, Ehlers-Wheeler-Roslovic. Wheeler looks pretty average without the fly wingers.

Copp probably should take over the 3C slot. But why do we keep banging Perreault out there for 0 production and goals against on a checking line? Let's see something different. Harkins-Copp-Appleton. Perreault-Shore-Bourque. And watching Chicago hound our defense maybe get a pit bull like JC Lipon up with the team?

But that defense. That's why we keep reeling. Can we get 6 playing consistenly?

Morrissey-Poolman, Kulikov-Pionk, Sbisa-Niku next game? Still look ahead of behind us, and we don't match up on defense. And our forwards aren't special enough right now to make the difference.

I was impressed with both Boqvist and Dach on the Hawks. Two good picks out of two tank seasons.

Jets are full of light weights, no **** disturbers to get everyone fired up, Tanev, Chariot, Lemieux, all the sand paper is gone and all we have in the wings are more light weight swedes and fins. No core of hard nosed Canuck kids, Chevy is to blame but Maurice is a terrible coach with no accountability too.

Which is funny cause Chevy's minor league career was primarily sandpaper and knuckle dragging

Time to give Niku top 4 minutes. If he fails or succeeds you know what you’ve got. Kulikov is on his way out.

I actually think Morrissey is more comfortable with Kulikov due to Kuli being more predictable in terms of his positioning on the ice. Morrissey's game has looked quite a bit better the last couple of weeks and him and Kuli have been fine together lately. Don't get me wrong I would most certainly want an upgrade but I think Morrissey plays better with someone who he knows where they are going to be on the ice.

Positive of Lowry injury, Perreault - Roslovic - Appleton is a decent offensive minded 3rd line...

Time to rebuild for a few more years then take another run at making the playoffs.
On the positive we aren't the Leafs.

I don't know. Murat had an article recently in The Athletic -- very positive about what PoMo brings to the table as a coach and a "leader of men," and underlined the degree of support he has from within the org.

All that could change, obviously, but my sense was that 1) Murat has backed off on some of his criticism of PM's overall tactics, etc., and 2) the job is his as long as he wants it.

Murat has some good stuff but I get the impression listening to him on the radio that he's still too much of a wait-and-see guy who has too much respect for the status quo. Maybe he's too polite or something, I don't know, but he stops short too soon too often.

I truly believe that several players on this team gave up on their coach more than a year ago. what’s the downside of a coaching change at this point?
The Jets are better than this.

Might as well ride it out this year with Maurice for the beneficial effect on draft position, then improve in the summer beginning with coaching.

Man, our punctuation today is like the Jets' play -- loosy-goosey, all over the place and difficult to understand or come to terms with.

Players only chat, allegedly.

OR

Players only, chat allegedly.

OR

Players, only chat allegedly

OR

Players-only chat, allegedly.

You can correct allot more then that but its going too be a waist of time.

Murat sees the same stuff we all do but puts a lot more emphasis on the turnover in the back end. He's also a bit blinded by the in depth answers he gets from the players. Too much stock in their saying it's working as intended.

Over the top negativity only works on the radio for Jim Rome.
