I could type for an eternity.
Many puzzling moves... our PP setup is nowhere near that of successful teams.
Our personnel is not better than other teams. Alot of strong lineups in the league. We need to be utilizing top notch everything to be successful, coaching included.
I believe if Chevy thinks we can get into the playoffs and do some damage he will make a coaching change this weekend.
If he thinks we don't got it this year, he'll keep PoMo in place, not make any trades and go status quo and Moose players the rest of the way and hope to land a stud in the draft.

I really hope so. You will find me among the most optimistic people. Bring it (the song)!!
I didn’t intend to point anything negative towards you, my exceptionally well metered friend.

Rather, I meant to use it as a springboard to express my thoughts. Thank you for being in the 1% of Internet posters in the restraint you’ve exhibited.

In clear conscience, I cannot write here that I see us as a Stanley Cup contender. However, I still view us as making the playoffs. After that, spin the wheel buddy.

Yup, all we need is a new coach. This has to be the most overrated lineup in the league.

Overrated by whom? All I hear is how we need D and this isn’t PoMo’s fault.

I don’t think a coaching change solves everything, but there’s literally no upside to keeping Maurice around at this point. 5-9-3 stretch is grounds for firing unless you’re in a rebuild. He should be done.

Players: Blake Wheeler

Coach Maurice scrum topics: What did he think of his chances for his team in the offensive zone? How did the loss of Adam Lowry impact his group? Any update on Lowry? On the poor start by the Jets. How does he manage the feeling of "we did some good" but obviously they didn't win the game? The players having a players only meeting. On the players trying to stay positive.

Chevy was the GM to build up the org, need a new aggressive guy to make some bold moves that push us over the edge. Same with Maurice but his time is just up. Needs a fresh, inspired voice to coach the team to the cup.
Seriously what do you expect Chevy to do?
He was up against the cap losing Tanev, Chiarot, Myers plus the Buff injury which tied up 7 millon.
Remember the Jets HF said those 3 were not worth it and yet they signed for $13 million.

Well, my concern is that last year with a more talented team, especially in the second half of the season, we saw a lot of these lack lustre games. Sometimes we would pull off wins purely on the skill level of that team. This season, lately, we have seen lack lustre efforts from this team and with an arguably less talented roster the results have been brutal. The team lacks direction and that is on coaching. If the coach can’t encourage them to play better then we need a change.. plain and simple.

Depending on how the season ends that's a possibility.

I don't know. Murat had an article recently in The Athletic -- very positive about what PoMo brings to the table as a coach and a "leader of men," and underlined the degree of support he has from within the org.

All that could change, obviously, but my sense was that 1) Murat has backed off on some of his criticism of PM's overall tactics, etc., and 2) the job is his as long as he wants it.

I know that the hand that Maurice has been dealt is less than kind but you have to think if the team misses the playoffs his time here is done, quite possibly he has taken the team as far as he can

I truly believe that several players on this team gave up on their coach more than a year ago. what’s the downside of a coaching change at this point?
The Jets are better than this.

You can see this stuff from the nose bleeds. Teams tune out.

Our guys have tuned out and Chevy needs to swallow his pride and pull the trigger.

It's not like there aren't good options.
