By that logic, no pick is more valuable than any player.

That is what scouting is for and why those trades rarely happen. There is too much risk to acquire a top 5 pick with the returns being asked.

4th overall almost certainly has more value than Nazar.

Doesnt mean the player taken there will be better than Frank, but if you were shopping both you'd get a better return for 4th pick

Is Malhotra going to be better than Nazar? Is Bjorck? Stenberg maybe...I would rather stick with the just turned 22 year old who plays with spare parts yet still could have hit 60 points this year if healthy.

what players would be available this off season for futures? that is in there mid twenties and is upgrade over donato TT Etc? he is the only one I can think of. Canucks are the only tanking team.

Vancouver is in a weird situation. They've got guys like Petterson (27), Boeser (29), Debrusk (29), Hronek (28), M. Petersson (30) all locked up for 5-6 years each. The other guys include Rossi (24), and CTE in waiting Chytil (26). I think those guys are some combination of too much term (Boeser, Debrusk, M. Petersson), would be more valuable for a contender (Hronek), injury/bad play making the risk too high (E. Petersson & Chytil), or too similar to existing Hawks players (Rossi).

What do you mean what does that have to do with anything? It has everything to do with things. Who gives a shit about the pick # it is about the talent you have available there and select. Dach was the 3rd overall pick, some of you are drooling over a draft position of #4 like it is a guarantee. News flash, IT CLEARLY ISNT, numerous better players were picked right after Dach.

Trades involving those picks rarely happen because the odds arent great that said player is a lock to be a star considering what it would cost to land the pick. It isnt worth it unless you get #1.

I think there are about 8 players who project to be Knies in this draft. Not all of them will be obviously. No one thinks these picks are guaranteed.

I’d trade 9OA for him if I had that pick. Maybe 6-7-8 if the hawks were further along in the rebuild process.

Probably not Bjorck. I would trade Nazar for smits, carels, Reid, McKenna, Stenberg, Malhotra based on value and what I project them to be.

I’d hesitate because they signed him long term though. Not sure if I’m comfortable with the reputation hit.
