Trade, offer sheet or not go after Robertson

Kings, Bruins, Utah, Penguins, Sens, Capitals, or Wings are the specific teams I speculated Dallas could be in danger of Robertson getting an offersheet from. I am not advocating the Hawks do an offersheet as the '27 1st even with Robertson on the Hawks is highly probable of being in the lottery (barring perfect injury luck and a big step from a couple of the young D). An offersheet and 4 years of late first round picks from a playoff team is certainly assets....but highly doubt you could convert those late future 1st into anything remotely resembling Robertson in the near term when Dallas is built to win and trying to contend.
About half those teams don’t have great futures and a Robertson signing would be an attempt to stop the bleeding. A number of them I’m auto declining if I’m Dallas

I feel like next of season is the year to make trades of the TDL there is just not enough players on the market and I just saw they think cap goes up $8mil per year for the next couple. really need to wait until there are 3-4 teams doing a full rebuild. the retool people keep there best young players. plus we will have a much better understanding of team need.

Again why exactly would we be looking at a ok young winger in Bourque?

We already have Lardis, Kantserov and probably Moore as young wingers with upside/potential in lineup. If we trade or go after a winger it needs to be an impact guy especially since we have several more wingers (Vanacker, Nestrasil, etc) in pipeline in coming years that signing Bourque to long deal makes no real sense

As of now we are looking at something like this lineup wise at wing currently as a possibility

?-Bedard-?
Bertuzzi-Frondell-Kantserov
Moore-Nazar-Lardis
Bourque is 24 years old and pretty much outproduced Lardis and Greene combined. Would you rather have him as a top 6 guy right now who can easily slide to 3rd line when the kids mature or go out and sign some 34 year old winger if they cant land any of the big rumored names?
