Ugh, exactly. And sometimes you hear, “rebuild/retool on the fly.” Umm, no. We tried that, and it didn’t work. This is going to take a while.

No I'm not. We're just looking at it from different angles; I see that now.

It may be projection or it may be transference. I assumed that he was talking about a specific co-worker, like he said, and you assumed that he was projecting. Fair.

i know zucc has to go, but man is it going to be one f***ing horrible day when he's traded. it's an easy decision to make when looking at the scope of what the rangers are doing on the business side, but that doesn't make it any easier on the emotions :(

Ok let’s say the Rangers are fully commited to a rebuild.

And let’s assume the goal is a cup.

It’s going to take 4-5 years [this season inclusive] for them to gel and hit stride, and then it will take another 2-4 years on top of that for their window,

so given how many decisions will be made, changes in league META, expansion, injuries, and the fact we are playing a shitty team tonight,

the chances that more than 2 players on the roster tonight will be lifting the cup in our assumed window even if in that window the Rangers were guaranteed to win the cup, would be fractions of a percent at best.
