Nice bounce back for Garand, hope it’s not serious, but don’t mind Louis missing time if it gets Garand more starts.

Just from the pics the Hartford Twitter posts, they seem to have a group that all get along really well.

I was out tonight and didn't watch but I just went back to listen to the opening and Domingue not mentioned as injured. Unclear why LIndbom recalled. Perhaps the team needs another Jacksonville player to keep Hinter Skinner company in the press box.

Skinner and Hillman healthy scratches on defense. Whelan, Rempe and Reuschhoff healthy scratches up front. Top two lines comprised of vets:

Elson-Carpenter-Fritz
Gettinger-Brodzinski-Blais
Trivigno-Rydahl-Pajuniemi
Tardif-Henriksson-DiGiacinto

Derense:
Jones-Emberson
Scanlin-Giutarri
Robertson-Welinski

Pajuniemi brakes the scoreless tie with a goal on a shot from the high slot that the goalie somehow missed. Providence ties it at the end of the period on its own PP with a deflection in front on which Garand had no chance. Carpenter come in 2-1 in OT and Carpenter finds Jones in front and he puts it home for the win.

Pack are 2 points out of 4th and 5 points out of 3rd.

Pack getting dusted 2-7 after 2
Again Garand pulled
Again Blais w PPG in big loss
To me it seemed the first goal given up by Garand was a 1000-1 shot. Watched it when it happened and a few more times replayed and still don’t see how it went in.
Looking for excuses so I’m going with all the different players coming in and out of the lineup has broken the team’s continuity.
When Blais makes his way back up, they’ll have to put him on the #1 PP. lol

After playing reasonably good hockey for several weeks the Pack laid two big eggs in the last three games. I only saw the replays of the first couple of goals and the turnovers and lack of defensive coverage was startling. Offensively the Pack only had 15 shots on goal, 1 in the second period. Maybe the team was tired from its six games in nine days.

Syracuse goals:

1. Elson turnover at blue line and Garand flubs a shot. Rodolfo is correct. It's hard to image how that goal goes in but it starts with a turnover by a veteran.

2. Gettinger attempted pass stolen leading to an opportunity with Carpenter leaving his man uncovered who puts in a rebound.

3. Point shot deflected in front by player between Giutarri and Scanlin, neither of whom picks up the man. A couple of bad games for this pair. I wonder if Scanlin is hitting the rookie wall.

4. Gettinger unnecessarily ices the puck. On the ensuing face-off, Hilman, Jones and Rydahl fail to get the puck out of the defensive zone. Syracuse passes the puck to a player in the slot, Pajuniemi is just behind him but fails to check the player for an uncontested shot.

5. Robertson loses the puck at the offensive blue line resulting in a 2-1. Wilenski attacks the puck carrier who passes to the open player who walks in alone and scores.

I couldn't watch the remaining two goals given up by Lindbom who replaced Garand at this point.

Garand was helpless on most of the goals but the first goal was terrible. Every defenseman made bad mistakes. Veteran forwards with turnovers and failure to check Syracuse players. Just a very disheartening effort.

Domingue did not dress again but was not listed as injured. Emberson out for Hillman an Skinner scratched again, I think that is eight straight games. That makes Emberson and Skinner the best defensemen for Hartford tonight. Not sure why the Pack bothered to bring up Skinner if he is not going to play.

Cuylle plays with Carpenter and Elson. Fritz out day to day. Trivigno replaces Gettinger to play with Brodzinski and Blais. Gettinger moved to 3rd line with Rydahl and Pajuniemi. Rempe back in centering Henriksson and Reuschhoff who comes in from the penalty box he was in the last few games. Whelan, Tardif and DiGiacinto are healthy scratches.

Have I mentioned how disheartening this game was?

Could it be coaching? Game plan damn hard to see most games. I think the Pack is an easy team to beat, they are without the necessary "rise to the occasion" dynamic. They're professional athletes, FCOL.

Thank you for contacting HockeyTV Support.

I have reviewed this game and spoken to our Streaming Operations Center- we have spoken with the team regarding this, and they are aware of the quality of their broadcast. We'll do everything we can to continue to support them and hopefully improve the quality of their streams going forward. If you'd like, you're more than welcome to follow up with the team directly via social media and/or their website so that you can send them your feedback directly.

Let us know if there's anything else we can help you with.

Thank you,
Fair enough. If they’ve already flagged it to the team there’s probably not a lot that can be done short term. Social media probably not a bad idea. Grassroots. The whole network (as it were) is probably a ‘best efforts’ project at this point.

The Rempe vs. Greenway fight is finally available. Absolute demolition. I don’t think Greenway has played since. He’s strong now, when he fills out that frame he could become the toughest in the league, AHL or NHL.

Jesus christ that was like 8-9 blows right to the face in a row at the end. Amazing he was still standing until the end.

I didn't watch all of that P Bruins game. But I will say, at one point in the first period during the live feed, you could see the main camera opp zoom and on the boards, refocus the camera and zoom out. Generally, how you fix a focus issue. My guess is, honestly, there was either a lens issue on that camera or some sort of condensation or smudge on the front of the lens itself. When they would briefly cut to other angles, the issue wasn't there. I am not clear as to why they didn't try to fix the problem better in between periods. Maybe they did? But yeah, it made that game pretty unwatchable.

Still, not nearly as unwatchable as the Syracuse game!

Literally rearranged Greenway's face.

Would be swell if he could progress into a useful 4th line player beyond the fists.

Period ends 1-1. Pack outshoot Bruins 7-6. Pack scores first with Fritz getting the puck behind the net and he passes the puck to the other side of the net finding Cuylle who is alone and puts it in. Pack gives the goal back when Wilenski makes a bad read and is caught up the ice leading to a 2-1 and a goal. Henriksson with a great pass to Pajuniemi who has a break away but is stopped. Henriksson made several good plays. He is playing with Rydahl and Pajuniemi. Cuylle with Brodzinski and Fritz. Gettinger dropped to fourth line with Rempe and DiGiacinto. That line had a couple of good shifts keeping the puck down low. Blais with Carpenter and Elson. It looks like Blais is skating better.

Domigue in goal. Garand is the backup. Lindbom back to Jacksonville. Emberson day to day so Skinner back in. Trivigno, Reuschhoff, Tardif and Whelan are healthy scratches.

Zach Jones with highlight reel goal on 4-4 giving Pack the lead.
He's been putting up almost a ppg over a month now. Gonna be honest and haven't seen his overall game but this kid couldn't make an impact at the NHL level? has his defense been that bad or do the Rangers just want to develop him in Hartford?
