Ethan Keppen signed by Pack.
just showed up on EliteProspects, ECHL site
presume its a PTO, ECHL reports it as a loan,
age 22 wing, 6'2 212#
drafted by Canucks but not signed to ELC

like Pekar, he was a guy I been curious about as a younger prospect

UPDATE: per Alex Thomas, Nash is healthy and dressing, Keppen will sit tonight

Pack up 1-0 after 1 on a power play goal by Jake L.

Mackey out week to week. Yoon in.

Nash back in. As Cwede reported Ethan Kappen from Fort Wayne Comets has been signed. He sits tonight. Was a 2019 4th round pick of Vancouver. Played last year with Charlotte in AHL. Had 35 points in 45 games in ECHL with 44 penalty minutes. He sits tonight.

I turned on at the end of the game and heard Alex Thomas say that both Nash and Blidh left the game in the third period with injuries and did not return. Yikes. Games the next two nights.

Othmann's goal was the first even strength in over 200 minutes and the PP goal broke a 17 PP futility.

Too bad the Pack can't play Bridgeport every night.

ECHL Transactions is showing that Indianapolis has loaned Cameron Hillis to the Wolfpack. 23 5' 11'' 185 lbs. in his second full season with Indianapolis, point per game, mostly assists, played junior in Guelph.

like Pekar, Keppen and Jenkins, Hillis had been drafted,
like Pekar and Jenkins he'd had an ELC, then not QO'd (by Hawks, where Habs had traded him)
Hillis actually dressed for an NHL game for Habs 2 seasons back
has been productive scorer at ECHL level last season and this

Alex Thomas confirms Nash LBI and Blidh UBI are out tonight so Keppen, Hills, and Panwar join Jenkins and Bertuzzi all in for the ECHL Pack.

Brett Berard is a no-nonsense, high energy player. He's the type of kid, like Cuylle, who will come up and seamlessly fit on the roster. Defensively he is sound, he has good skill and speed and he's tenacious. Very excited for him
If they trade this kid (especially for a rental) gonne be seriously disappointed in this franchise. Been so long since we developed a kid like this. Yes I know Cuylle was developed nicely in the AHL but I don't believe he ever had the ability to create his own offense and shots like Berard. We have enough young size currently do i don't care how big he is. I think he will fit in nicely next year in NY.

He should develop into a player who can play on any line and contribute with those players and cost practically nothing. If we want to see someone who should excel with Kreider and Mika, it's Berard. He has the speed, tenacity, offensive IQ and he's responsible defensively. If he can routinely make the switch from LW --> RW he's going to be a very good player on this team.

He's been really good, esp for his first season in Hartford. I'm really surprised he hasn't gotten a day recall for the extra pay bump or a just in case recall like Othmann yesterday.

Baring anything unforseen, I believe at this time next season Berard will be lined up next to Zibanejad and Kreider.

He had all the tools and a toolbox for them. Yes he is smaller, but it hasn't stopped him at any level.

The only reason he went that late in the draft is size. He does everything else.

Also every winger on the opening night roster should be home grown sans Panarin.
