GAGLine, if you watched the game did any of the ECHL players make an impression?
I only caught bits and pieces of it because I was also watching the Rangers. I don't know if Jenkins is one of the ECHL guys, but he looked like he belonged from the little bit I saw.

Jake Leschyshyn with a crushing check. Springfield player goes to the locker room.
Hunter Skinner challenges and fights Leschyshyn. Jake Leschyshyn Gets cut in the fight. Skinner gets an instigator penalty and Leschyshyn leaves to get stitches.
0-0 halfway through the 1st.
Garand in net.

Speciality teams are killing us. It’s understandable. All the new players joined at a time when Hartford had 6 games in 9? nights. No time to practice. 5x5 offensive doesn’t seem to be a problem because Hartford plays a simple system. 5x5 defense is a little shaky where players aren’t keeping their lanes. A bit of puck chasing by the newbie’s.
3-2 Springfield with less then 8 minutes to go in the 2nd. Two of the T-Birds goals scored on 5 on 3 play.

Frustrating game. Hartford had 3 or 4 odd man rushes on the pk with nothing to show for it.
Berard the last chance was robbed by Ellis.

Maybe I am expecting too much but ES Othmann just doesn't look like a guy who is that noticeable.

This general sentiment a few guys seem to be saying is a bit worrying. Still, not everyone can be Matt Rempe :-P

I must say, every year I say I am going to follow The Pack more closely and it doesn't seem to happen. Catching games can be difficult, in my defence.

Maybe I am expecting too much but ES Othmann just doesn't look like a guy who is that noticeable.
to me, he is having a fine first pro season,
he just turned 21 ~6 weeks back
each young player's arc varies,
as long they are working and contributing and improving,
they are developing toward the pro player they will become
I have NO concerns at all re Othmann

because this current era has more kids than ever further along very early,
it's easy to have very high expectations for similar early readiness;
to me , that is unrealistic and unfair
willing to wait til he's ready

my biggest concern re Pack is whether
Smith is the best guy to oversee this season, and all these kids, after KK left
results have been pretty good,
but should a more proven HC, and talent dev guy, been hired?
