The problem will be if Kakko and Lafreniere don't develop into stars, they'll have no one to compliment. Particularly if our veterans are in decline by the time they're ready to fill those roles.

I get it but things change in the blink of an eye in this league we'll see what we have in a few years. I'm not happy with what we have gotten and will likely get from those two but at this point what can I do? Maybe we can root for the 23-24 team as they do have high end forwards.

Given NYR's history it's possible they go big game hunting on the UFA market to fill those roles like they did with Richards & Gaborik.

With the cap booming over the next few years I can imagine a lot of 27-28 year old UFA scoring megadeals on the open market with dozens of teams able to bid for their services. It won't be cheap.

Draisaitl becomes a UFA in less than 2 years. Imagine what he could get on the open market?

Elson hasn't played since Game 1, wasn't sure if it was Veteran Maximum related
Henriksson took a hit in game 3 and didn't play game 4

i wont doubt recalling Worrad,
i am trusting the pro scouts, for now
Brouillard, Hollowell, Nash, Belzile have all helped
but i do think Pekar may also be a recall and an asset eventually

Looks like they released Barton from his SPC that same day.
wow that's interesting,
they flat out released him, from contract he had just signed in summer
?maybe he wants to try Europe rather than being in ECHL?

Date Player Team Transaction

Is Berard trending to be a good 3rd liner?
I think Edstrom is the most impressive of those 3. Made a big hit and then skated hard on a back check to stop a Springfield chance. He's physical and a good skater with some offensive ability. Sykora is playing on the 4th line. He's being pushed off the puck pretty easily. Berard is ahead of Sykora but Berard is a couple of years older. I would rather Sykora play on a top line in the WHL to improve his offensive game.

Henriksson is week to week. Worried was officially recalled but not with the team and not available this weekend. No reason given for why.

Pack down 1-0 on a power play goal with the Pack leaving Adam Gaudette alone in the slot and he beats Domingue.

Something to build on. Let’s Go Pack !

I’m curious if Drury ever attends any of the Wolf Pack games?
Drury I believe lives in Connecticut so it wouldn’t be a stretch for him to get there. In fact, if I’m him, I’d work a day or two a week in Hartford. Probably easier than getting into Manhattan.

Talking out of my hat here.
Last night I got the feeling that many of the forward group was overreaching to try and contribute to be part of the early success of the Pack.
Many of them out of position, excluding Brodzinski, Bedard and Trivigno.
Oddly, Edstrom was also cheating but it didn’t seem to hurt his performance .
Looking forward to tonight’s game.

Wilkes-Barre Scranton chippy early. Interesting to say how Hartford responds?
Edit: 9 minutes in Pack down 2-0. Second goal was short-handed.
Hartford being out worked so far. :(
Edit: 11 minutes in. Down 3-0.
Knoblaugh needs to take a TO.
Media time-out. PTL
Edit: 13 minutes in Wilkes-Barre Scranton up 4-0. This is brutal so far. Like watching an AHL team playing a pick-up team.
