always depressing watching mcilrath and realizing that we couldve had one of cam fowler or tarasenko on the 2012-2016 teams.

And its not like mcilrath was even thought to be good at that time

Who are you playing Jones over?
Id go
Lindy-fox
Kandre-trouba
Jones-schneider

In my ideal world we deal lindy for a 1st and sign gostisbehere and go

Kandre-fox
Gostisbehere-schneider
Jones-trouba

Will with an assist on the Brodz goal
Hes a pretty fast skater i must say. Will that is

There wasn't really much doubt he'd be a first round pick, so... He was a bad pick for sure, but it's not like he was expected to go in the fifth and they took him where they did.

Yes, looks good. Jonny B is a heckuva an ahl player. I think he could be a 4C next year

Right!? Smooooth puck mover. Should be up with us next year for 82 games now that we’ll have a coach with a brain

That is just dumb. Jonny B gets ice time in the AHL, and comes up as 4th liner that does nothing and is an AHL vet. Maybe like all players he needs a bit more ice time or ice time similar that he gets in the AHL to produce at the NHL level.

Cuylle for example. He is a prospect. He does gets ice time in the AHL and is a young player. And he comes up with Rangers and gets put in 4th line role. Cuylle has a lot of skill. He should be getting 2ed or 3rd line ice time when get called up. Another reason why prospects don’t produce, if the players get ice time in the AHL, when they get called up they get 4th line minutes. Great way to develop talent regaled if its a prospect or an AHL scorer. Stupid way of development players. Anyone else agree????

I had Adam McQuaid upside in McIlrath boy was I wrong.

That Garand stock is rising pretty high for me, if Halak doesn’t come back would he realistically get a look for us next season?

I don't think so. He really needs another year in the AHL as the #1. His season was very up and down. He's been great since being given the net, but we need to see it over a longer period of time IMO. No sense rushing him.

Yeah hopefully he gets a clean slate. I'm not sold he can defend adequately at the NHL level but maybe in a different system, he'll surprise me.
Yeah like him a lot but I’m not sure I see a path here either, especially since he’s unlikely to get PP time.

Wow just made a highlight reel save to boot.

If he has a great camp against NHL players. Why rush him? I’d take Halak for one more year so Garand is fully ready for backup duty. Goalies take longer. Why be impatient with the talent he has?
Yeah Garand needs to play in the AHL next season. Let him get the majority of starts. Goalies need to play, just like anyone else. I love what he's doing now but he was very inconsistent during the regular season. Flashed a lot of talent but also showed he still has a ways to go. Let him start 50 games for Hartford.

Don’t know what kinda high Garand is riding, but if this is actually him, wow.
WHAT. A. SAVE. WOW

With our cap situation we may need a league min 4C til the deadline

That knee injury really f***ed his career completely. I think even with the way the league has changed since his draft, if he'd never gotten injured he'd probably be a journeyman 5-7D
