Good post and again a great example of why Quinn doesn’t want to use lias in the middle for any real length of time. Wants centers carrying the mail building speed thru the neutral zone. Lias is allergic to that premise.
Where as Mika Chytil Howden are much better fits for it.

I kind of disagree (partially agree?). I think Quinn’s main issue is with Andersson’s inability to create any kind of pressure against opponents’ puck carrier / holder on the defensive side, either in open ice or on boards.

Well that too. And never making plays. There’s a lot lol

btw McBride is healthy and has played 8 games for Norfolk,
a bit surpised Pack hasn't shifted him back to Maine
w Ronning, Elmer, LZG and Dmowski recalled to HWP
(and Leedahl apparently hurt, only 2 GP and i believe those were early season...
Maine only lists 12 Fs on their roster, including Leedahl who i believe is on 'Reserve
but in ECHL teams do only dress 16 skaters

Crawley has only played three games, as well. Not sure what's up with him.

I believe Crawley is hurt as well, but sorry, I am not recalling or recovering where/when I read about that (perhaps it included a Ranger Ric post)

Both AHL and ECHL websites seem to have very similar in their organization and presentation, but however, ECHL site (unlike AHL) seems to not offer player and game log pages

ECHL App

If you click the link above, it takes you to some random old mobile view of each player. That still has game logs for each player.

From there you can click on "MNE @ ADK" and get the mobile view box score, where you can find links to other players. You can then click on MNE under the logo and it takes you to a roster view for the team. It's a weird workaround, but it does the trick.

Roster: ECHL App

Thanks,
that's odd that it's accessible by the app, but not the league website in a browser

So Crawley hasn't played since 10/23, Leedahl since 10/20

ECHL App

Leedahl a lost cause maybe *

but re Crawley, maybe bad timing, as HWP has been dressing 4 RHD most games since Lindgren was called up
LHD: Rykov still out, Taylor sitting out often after Maine recall, Day and Geertsen playing
RHD: LoVerde, Keane, Raddysh, Ebert

*Vince Pedrie retired this week

I would think it surprising if we qualified Crawley. Two years in the AHL (though I always thought he kind of sucked) and then gets assigned to the ECHL. He's been passed, will probably continue to be passed. Unless something amazing happens I wouldn't think they'd continue using an NHL contract spot on him.

I’ve been thinking the same thing.

Shesterkin tonight, Huska tomorrow.

Fontaine is out at least two weeks with an upper body.

Rykov at least two weeks away, all per Gerry Cantlon at Howlings.

At least now Rykov has some kind of timeline.
Well, thing about that, I posted an article from Cantlon on October 12 that said Rykov would need at least two weeks and maybe a stint in the ECHL for conditioning. So really, his timeline has somehow remained unchanged in a full month.

Missed that including a stint in ECHL part. Maybe that's why Rykov is "refusing" to get better. ; )

I posted it in the other thread specific to Rykov--Tua Tagovailoa is the Alabama QB qho had a bad high ankle sprain and they put some screws in his ankle and tightened some stuff and he played a couple weeks later. Can't we do that to Rykov? This is crazy.

Not everyone wants screws in their ankle which could cause issues down the road?

I haven't heard of any real potential complications. The procedure is becoming more and more common for these injuries.

Anyway, I was only being semi-serious. I have no idea if it's even an option for him. I'm just incredulous that he's been skating for so long yet still seems to far off.

I have had that procedure done and I can tell you that the screws are annoying as f***. I wouldn't want anyone to go through with it unless they absolutely have to....

I also have a screw near my ankle (along with a titanium rod) for close to 3 years and I consider myself lucky that I’m simply able run and skate for a short awhile even though that area will hurt for up to a couple of days afterwards.

Yeah I haven't had any procedure like that so I can't really speak to it. Still, in an era where guys sit out the ends of seasons and bowl games, you had Tagovailoa opting instead to have this procedure simply so that he could return sooner. That leads me to believe that the procedure in its most modern state, when performed by a top-tier orthopedic surgeon, is probably pretty effective and with minimal downside. Otherwise, someone like Tagovailoa, who has a long and lucrative career ahead of him, probably wouldn't have been willing to undergo such a procedure.

But anyway, I'm going OT, as I have no idea if it's even relevant to Rykov's situation. And even then, I would certainly never presume to know what type of medical treatment is best for someone I don't even know.

Yes. Maybe he can latch on somewhere with more of an opening.

And on my end, I have no idea too - injury could be absolutely dissimilar to your example. Just had $0.02 to share :help:
