Only Chytil came up as a result of Zibanejad’s injury. What you see there now is probably what you get with an outside chance of Andersson going for a short stint.

Oh man, would love that. I think after the recent scratching it'd do him good. Also remember him looking great down there on a garbage team. On a more confident squad in Hartford I think he'll definitely excel there and who knows what the Rangers wind up doing (wheeling and dealing - forward-wise). Which would open that door up for him to show us what he's got. Maybe when he has a better opportunity up here to slot in higher?

The team should look good down there and I wouldn't mind Howden being sent down either at this point. He could use an AHL stint confidence boost as well IMO.

Pack lose in the shootout. They are now 0-4 in the shootout and have scored no shootout goals.

When the team is all structure and is playing a team with some lethal skill (Abramov, Batherson, Norris, Formenton et cetera) the structure won't shine through in the shootout format. Might explain the terrible shootout record. Why Lettieri didn't shoot I don't know...

Elmer hat trick for Maine
After the game he was recalled to Hartford.
some guy named Gropp w 2 helpers
Gropp has two shots in two games in the CHL. For a guy who should be a high-volume shooter, that's not cutting it. He probably reluctantly accepted the assignment, and isn't going all-out. 100% speculation but I'm guessing he's still looking for a trade.

He could take shifts on an NHL fourth line and not hurt you, but he's not really going to be a contributor at the NHL level, if he ever even makes it back.

Fogarty has taken his game to another level since the start of the season. When he's really assertive in the offensive zone, he's at his best. If he can do that in the NHL I think he could be a valuable 4th liner. He doesn't quite have the size and speed of Boo Nieves. But he's a smarter player. There's a reason he's the team captain.

Love how Knoblauch is talking about passing, passing and passing in more or less every presser after games, that are covered over at Howlings.net.

He hasn’t been in the AHL before. I kind of like that. For someone like him it will stick our soooo much just how poor the passing game is in the AHL. He is watching it from a NHL perspective. You gotta be able to play with the puck in the NHL.

Not surprised the guy who coached McDavid and Dylan Strome in juniors is obsessed with passing

Agree would like to see more shots but he was second star of game after Elmer so shots may not be best indicator of how he is playing. Let’s give this a few more games to see if he gets his act together. QUOTE="nyr2k2, post: 166502423, member: 26420"]After the game he was recalled to Hartford.
