Anyone discuss the possibility of Schneids actually taking the call for Hansen....the impression is pretty uncanny.
Being an awesome hockey player doesn't excuse you for being a ***** off the ice. I understand he's pressed that his teammate it hurt, but it doesn't make it okay for him going about spewing ********.
Seriously, this should be discussed more. He shouldn't have been playing if that's all it takes to knock him out.

I'd be surprised if he's injured and it wasn't just precautionary.

I'm thinking Hansen's soft voice over the phone will convince Shanahan not to punish him.
Toews is awesome, I don't care what any of you say. Much like Kesler, Perry, etc. they are terrible losers and will do anything for a competitive edge. I would gladly take Toews on my team. Come to think of it, I would gladly take nearly any of the current Hawks on the Canucks.
"Hi, Mrs. Hansen. Can I please speak to Jannik"...
Hansen had little to say following his phone hearing. Vigneault, Gillis also participated #Canucks
Hansen: "The hearing went fine, we are awaiting word on it and that's where it is right now." #Canucks
Vigneault clearly pissed about Hansen having hearing with league: "I don't even know why we had the call." #Canucks
Vigneault when asked if he communicated his feelings to Shanahan about hearing being unnecessary: "Very clearly, very clearly," he said.
Hey guys, lets not stoop to the level of Boston fans and call Hossa a diver.
If it turns out that he is fine next game then perhaps, but he might actually be hurt.
@BradZiemer
Hansen will probably get a few games, maybe less. It wasn't malicious, but definitely somewhat reckless. Vancouver and Chicago are going to have to avoid this sort of tit for tat mentality if they ever want to go into the post season healthy...
I do not believe that there was any deliberate or malicious intent on the part of Jannik Hansen to hit Marian Hossa in the head as both players went up for an airborne puck that had been flipped out of the Hawks zone by Jonathan Toews. The resulting contact to the back of Hossa's head was not worthy of anything beyond the minor penalty for roughing that was eventually assessed by the referees; albeit well after play was whistled dead for the Hossa injury.... more
I have to ask, so many people saying Hansens actions were reckless........how in hell were they reckless? Because he reached for the puck? Because he let hossa skate into him? The game happens at high speed, what did you expect him to do? He would not even have had time to bring his arm down before hossa backed into him! Get a grip people! Why are we not talking about bollig sucker punching Weiss? Was that reckless? Was there intent? Why isnt he getting a call from the punishment police? Is it because everybody thinks Weiss is a scrub? Why should that matter?
Yeah, this whole "Star Players get special treatment" is BS to me too..
It may be so, and it might be logical in terms of revenue, but I still find it ridiculous.
