Why not play in Brampton in the interim? Has that ever been discussed? Too far?
Too far I think. No traffic it's 60 minutes. I can't imagine getting there for a weekday game. I am the furthest from Brantford you can get while still being in Hamilton, and it's 40 minutes.

I also think if the worst case scenario comes to be they are hoping Brantford liked having them. Brampton is a market anyone could be in tomorrow, yet no one wants to be there.

Sorry, also, when they were worried about the ice making system collapsing they talked about Brampton because they could go there right away.

Rumour is that Brantford will require at the minimum new boards and glass. The board is still lit by bulbs. No boxes. 1 concession stand. I played lacrosse in there and if you threw the ball against the boards in just stopped and hit the ground... 25 years ago.

North Bay Memorial Gardoons may be available if attendance for contending team does not pick up .....Abbott has an out clause based on minimum attendance,,,,
Blame the community rather than looking themselves in the mirror.
He’ll move them somewhere and the same thing will happen.
Get creative. $10 seats in section 9 on week night. That would pack it and make it the fan/party zone. More people to spend money on the leftover pizza and pretzels that were already cooked at the previous game.

This sucks. I hate seeing cities lose teams. NB is especially close to my heart as I went to school there and went to many Cents games.

NB should be a great jr. city.

Hamilton is no better. Crowds didn't start to pick up until the 3rd round last year. Same as '18. Then nobody comes back in October.

The problem with relocation is nobody has a building and municipalities don't want to build them. Where can they go that is better?

I was surprised they didn't pick up an OA FA at the deadline. I think they just want to see what the young guys can do.

The NB pxp guy is terrible. Does he do any research before a game?

I feel bad for Nelson. I thought he would get in more with the roster changes. Next year this is almost the same team plus 07s, playing time won't be any easier.
The problem with any relocation rumor is, where could the grass be greener now a days? I only see two markets that have arenas that could work, and both are untested. Them being Cornwall and Brantford, and Brantford needs an upgrade if it's going to be permanent.

No one is eager to return Junior Hockey to Toronto, that's for sure, looking at Missi's attendance and proximity, I can't see anyone being keen on trying hockey again in Brampton, Belleville isn't happening unless the Sens opt to move their farm closer, Chatham would need a new arena and Thunder Bay is simply too far in terms of travel.

Too far, local interest was low even when Brampton had a team of their own and traffic is awful that way. Heck, people in Mississauga have traffic issues getting to their own arena at times, never mind people from Hamilton making it to games, and if the plan is to move back, it doesn't really build up the Bulldogs in any way.

There is a substantial Brantford presence at Bulldogs games as it stands now; with a noticeable amount of Brantford 99ers gear floating around, so a temporary move their would generate some goodwill in that regard. It's a lot closer and generally the route that way only clogs in the morning, not the afternoon and only clogs going back to Hamilton during rush hour. You also have the added benefit that you might be able to prime the city into investing in an arena for another OHL team to one day have a shot there.

Technically Brantford itself is still a rumor as well, but to me, it makes more sense. Playing out of a packed 3,000 seater makes more sense then playing out of a 2,000 (if you are lucky) filled 5,000 seater.

Frankly, if not for having too small an arena, Brantford is one of the four cities I would look to expand to if we ever got the perfect OHL size of 24 and alignment (The other three being Cornwall, Chatham and Belleville getting the Bulls back.)

4 out of 5 on their road trip is shocking after the way they looked at home.

Well done boys!

Donovan low key might be one of the toughest guys in the league. It seems to me that every time that he has dropped the gloves this year the result has been pretty decisive.

Loved the multiple stare downs to the SSM bench after McConnell-Barker did so to the Hamilton bench after the 1st shootout goal. Karma at its finest!

Ya, that was actually awesome. That's why you don't do that.lol

Good on the Soo announcers for having a laugh at it.

Just caught up on watching last night’s game. Solid win. I’ve been impressed with how much the guys have stepped up since the deadline. Specifically, I’ve liked the Xhekaj, Bujold, Rebelo line (regardless of production last night). Great to see Donovan and Grush continue and finish the game as they both got hurt. Hopefully this means they’ll be fine.

Great to see some Bulldogs fans also made the trip.

Probably bad news for Hamilton, but Logan Morrison is back in the lineup.

I'm so happy to see him play in Hamilton again tomorrow though.
Games like this I really wish we had a larger and more knowledgeable fan base. Morrison deserves a huge ovation.

Likely to be an average crowd with maybe half the people having any idea of what he means to this franchise.

What a great play by Brown.

I don't like to criticize players, but he has been a bit of a whipping boy for me when I sound off to my wife. I feel that he plays way too passive, but since the trade deadline he has been a different player.

I only feel this way because I see potential in him and he really showed it in OT today.

Nick Lardis is dangerous every time that he touches the puck.

Great effort by the boys. They were full marks for todays win.

There are a few players I'd like to see more from, but overall I like how the team is playing. Really thought they were going to roll over and die after the deadline, but the staff has them playing hard with structure.

Vanacker has started to show more the last few weeks after being brought along slowly. I expect that the same plan exists for the other 06s that haven't played as much up to this point.

Enjoying this group right now.

Another big win.

I'm not sure there's many teams in the league working harder than the bulldogs right now. What a great group of guys.

Even better that he earned it in the same week he dominated his old team in front of their crowd. Panwar has been a solid addition to the Bulldogs. Too bad he’s an OA.
