If anyone going tonight could grab an extra card giveaway, I will very happily buy you a beer at the next game.

Can't get there tonight and my go to guy is also not going.

Just give me a shout if it's possible.

Yeah, problem that plagued us all season has come to roost. Lack of scoring apart from the OAs we traded away. It'll take some time before the team turns it around, just hope we can squeeze into that 8th spot.

I believe it was Matt Turek being interviewed last night on the tube during an intermission. Correct me if wrong. He said Hamilton Bull Dogs look for character type players when scouting. I find this is an integral part of any successful team. Wish the Ranger scouts were listening to this guy. They seem to go after cookie cutter types that seem to lack this element. Maybe fans in the Hammer think differently but I found this interesting.

A lot of us are still learning what Turek is all about after taking over from Staois. I like what he did at the deadline and am looking forward to his summer (I assume his interim tag will be removed)

The organization has always preached creating a positive and accountable environment. Both from the players and the staff. So we shall see.

Patrick Thomas just keeps getting better and better.

7 goals and 5 assists in his last 10 games.

He's always been an elite passer, but with Hayes gone he has spent more time around the net.

I think that he'll always be a pass first guy, but it's nice to see him develop a scoring touch.

Crazy that there hasn't been a release on next year's location.

My complete guess is the Brantford rumour is true, but all operations will remain in Hamilton.

No need to rush announcement, if the team just buses to Brantford on game days, when training, practice, and billets remain unchanged.

Yeah, I would drastically prefer the team announce sooner rather then later, but I kind of get it. Part of this debacle isn't just that the Bulldogs will have to move for two years, but also I would presume they need to negotiate a contract for the seasons after the build is done, and I don't think that has been done.

I fundamentally don't trust the builders here. They've already went back on their promise to build a hotel downtown when they took over the convention center, and they have apparently long had ideas of putting a Casino in downtown Hamilton that no one in the core wants.

I do know that one of the big concerns is them negotiating 2 years somewhere else and then it still not being ready for the 25-26 season.

Yep, no one here wants to be on the hook if something goes wrong, and if the Bulldogs were going to make a permanent relocation to Brantford (and I don't think they will) they wouldn't announce it until the end of this season. Conversely, I could entirely see the Mercantis' wanting to delay a tenant agreement until after the build is completed, in fears of liability. That or pulling the rug out at the last second on the Dogs (like they already have) if somehow they think it will make them money.

That Tim Leiweke is sniffing around this bid, makes me worry that this is some half baked plot to leverage the Marlies or another NHL bid that's going to go nowhere.

Nice win for the boys lastnight. Panwar 3 assists! He’s on a heater since coming over.

Lardis has been solid as well.

I fully didn’t expect this from the team post deadline. Assumed they would drift out of a playoff spot but they continue to surprise. Let’s see if they can keep the momentum.

Onto the next one.

They were the best team on the ice by far. In the end if our goalie didn’t stand on his head you would have had 7 goals and won going away. That’s a great young hard working team.

100% agreed.

I liked Lardis when he was on the Petes and was excited to see Hamilton acquire him. However, I didn’t expect the immediate impact from him and Panwar.

Speaking of Panwar, I was skeptical about only having 1 OA on a young team. On the flip side, I’d imagine that may have changed the leadership and disrupted the culture too much. Very happy with with Turek’s decision to only have Panwar.

Last night one of the North Bay commentators said something along the lines of him seeing the Bulldogs as being the “giant killers”. That was before the win. I wouldn’t get ahead of myself and set big expectations but if they continue to play like they did last night, the Bulldogs could surprise a team in the first round.

North Bay Memorial Gardoons may be available if attendance for contending team does not pick up .....Abbott has an out clause based on minimum attendance,,,,
This sucks. I hate seeing cities lose teams. NB is especially close to my heart as I went to school there and went to many Cents games.

NB should be a great jr. city.

Hamilton is no better. Crowds didn't start to pick up until the 3rd round last year. Same as '18. Then nobody comes back in October.

The problem with relocation is nobody has a building and municipalities don't want to build them. Where can they go that is better?

I was surprised they didn't pick up an OA FA at the deadline. I think they just want to see what the young guys can do.

The NB pxp guy is terrible. Does he do any research before a game?

I feel bad for Nelson. I thought he would get in more with the roster changes. Next year this is almost the same team plus 07s, playing time won't be any easier.

What a B.S. post. Fear mongering!! Attendance is fine. Contract states that the city will pick up any shortages if ticket sales fall below $xxx.....amount. Wish we had sellouts but it is what it is. Better marketing / promotions would go a long way.
