It seems PoMo have no idea either. Other than get Laine’s pricetag as low as possible.

Maybe -
But it looks more like PoMo is losing patience - Laine is being cut a little more each game.
Next move could be bottom 6 - especially with Ehlers coming back and the need for a scoring 2nd.

Somewhere nice
They didn't take a longer shift they actually got put on with about 20 seconds left in the game.
Im not talking just about this game though.

Anyways

I would like for them to set the tone for the team "more"early in the game. Not wait til period 3.

It hasnt happened a lot.

Its also not being pessimistic.

Im just being hopefull for them to do it.
They are the top line.

Hellebuyck simply outstanding.

Myers again was great.

Buff played like ass in period 1. Four or more turnovers. Totally lazy.

Laine invisible. Total non factor.
I'll give Buff a few more games before i give him shit , guy just came back after being off for over 5 weeks .

Its not annoyance before.

But when they started taking longer shift to get that empty net points.
It became a concern.

Its also a fact that should be taken into account. If a certain % of your points come from there.

I would like for them to set the tone more like last year compared to this year.

Thats my main point :)
The silly thing is thinking they're out there trying to pad their stats. And if you're on the first line on any team, you're gonna get sent out to defend those one goal leads more often than any other line, and so you'll have more empty net points.

Because out dueling the other team's top lines and top pairing is an easy thing to do shift after shift. Every single night this season they have gone against strength, both with the other team's 1st line and top pairing. Sometimes sawing things off is setting the tone.

Yup totally agree ... when the Jets win the Stanley Cup they will still call down the Jets.

I believe that Jets fans are more knowledgeable about hockey than fans in many other markets and we can discuss their actual play on ice on a game to game basis as a separate but related entity to their win-loss record. But it seems many here are offended if you say anything critical about the Jets after a "win", regardless of their level of play.

I didn't say I'd PB Laine, just that I think he will be PBed. Then again, they don't want Laine getting upset if he thinks he's not to blame. Plus it's not good optics. See ya Lemmy.

Sorry, I won't be able to update with this game until later, but here is impacts for players who have dressed for the Jets' bottom-six:

I flipped the axis for against to make up means better defense.

Don’t understand how this works well enough. That chart doesn’t seem to reflect reality for Lemieux. How are all his goals and his overall decent looking play not improving his “impact”?

Top line was good. Scheif set the tone i thought early by playing good D instead of floating like hes done the last little while now.

Wheeler? He was there.. Passes to much still tho.
Connor was good winning puck battles.
Laine? Was fine. Ppl should prob stop the piling on.. Yeah he certainly always loses puck battles but so does everyone else.
Thought the whole team was good. Morrow? Why is he playing over Niku?

Last thing.. Regardless of how bad 29 is playing, taking him off PP1 is dumb

When Ehlers comes back Laine and Applecart are the best candidates for PB duty, of course Laine would be too slow to get snacks and probably drop them!

You might want to consider how you express your angst in the first few minutes after a win. Go back and look at your 1st Post Game comment and it comes off as a pure attempt to suck the joy out of a win. There are plenty of opportunities to discuss where you would like to see improvements in multiple threads in between games, or even in the PGT with a little more tact.

Appleton and Lemieux have both played well enough to stay up with the Jets but lets face it one of the two will be sent down when Ehlers is back . Probably Appleton because Maurice likes Lemieux's toughness .

I’m sorry but your the fattest and ugliest TV star ever. Laine’s done more before 20 than 99% of players in the nhl. He will come back to haunt you!

Agree 100%.

To my knowledge, nobody here is under any obligation to read posts which they do not like. Some prefer to enjoy points in the standings, whereas others like to analyse what happened. Nothing wrong in either of those. I, for one, am happy that there are plenty of knowledgeable fans offering insight - whether that is pleasant or not - and a bunch of those who remind us to have fun along the way.
