I just have no idea what to do with Laine. He is not fast enough either physically or mentally. Once Ehlers is back I think a Perreault Lowry Laine line is worth trying.

But based on this game, Lemieux would be my choice to come out - Apples played really well.

No one should be. It was an ugly win. But points is points, doesn't matter how dirty after that road trip of nightmares.

Why do some people get annoyed when Scheifele or Wheeler get empty net points? I don't understand it. Reminds me of when Leafs fans would whine whenever Laine scored an empty net goal

Sabres fans aren't happy with their coach either. I don't think there are 10 fan bases on here that are.

Winnipeg is Good
Helle, Morrssey, Trouba and the fourth line were the standouts today. The rest of the team was meh to poor.
The first line decided it wanted to start playing in the third and owned the Sabres. Where the heck was that in the first two periods?
The second line with a disjointed effort.
Did the third line play today? They are doing nothing right now on the ice and imo org the second and third lines need a shake up.
Morrissey and Trouba with strong nights. One of the few things this team can rely on.
The bottom 4 were very meh. Morrow and Chariot are both a mess in their own end.... Buff still out of sorts and Myers is good going forward but meh in his own end.
Fourth line ha another energetic and effective night.
Helle was fantastic, won that game for us.
Maurice still running a Laine less 1st unit and it once again looks lifeless. I really don't know what to think about the job hes doing this year. The team is winning but playing relatively mediocre hockey.

It seems PoMo have no idea either. Other than get Laine’s pricetag as low as possible.

Hate to pile on Laine but when was the last time we've even seen him take a pass while skating ? He is always standing still along the boards , i really want him to succeed but please stop blaming Little for Laine's play , Little is not the problem .

Onto the game... phew! Jets needed to be better defensively and execution wise, and though this was no work of art, it was a lot better.
I listened to the Sabres feed:
- Better game sound. Heard beak “get some oxygen you fat f***”
- About Buff’s roughing penalty in the first by Jeannerette: “Lucky he isn’t mean or that could have been a manslaughter charge”
- Wheeler leads the league in apples last 3 years 222!
- Color guy said people around the team saying the Jets feeling comfortable in their position this year and might not be going that extra mile… they know that is a focus to get better at.
- I still like Rasmus Ristolainen

I would like for them to set the tone more like last year compared to this year.

Hellebuyck was exceptional today and the main reason we won.
I try not to make nice comments about him during the game in case I jinx him.
