A players wife. It was also backed up today with the media comments about Miller leading the vets against the young “core.” They are fed up because they don’t care about winning

Damn that's not good if true. Where did those comments come from do you have a source?

That's pretty contrary to the last year and off seasons comments by Pettersson and this team could be winning if Pettersson Boeser and Horvat actually played like top players to date. I mean maybe not top 3 in the division but they would be in the mix

May be looking at a Laine Dubois situation if so

let’s say this is the case…vets being against the young core doesn’t normally work out well for vets. The key word in this is young I think. I mean I’d have hard time wanting to win as well when the organization has made it clear they have no idea to help the young core along in that regard.

At face value I also find it curious that this is Miller who has a history, of shall we say, not being easy to coach and having his own effort issues on other teams (and this one at times).

In the end, you still need to deal with everything else first before touching the locker room.

EP has completely checked out on a physical level. He is just going through the motions, he is the epitome of being easy to play against. Maybe someone should point that out to him?

No
Why would we want him to return to form at this point so he might have a chance save JB's job once again?
I honestly don't think Benning's job has ever been in question, even now. Any talk of that has just been media rumor and fan speculation. Aqua pulls the strings, and has given JB a vote of confidence by continuing to deny the need for a President(nobody in the organization would be qualified to take over for JB). JB's just a puppet yes man, his job is safe and always has been. They aren't looking for a different coach or GM or President, they are exploring trades. Just rearrange the deck chairs, and collect that sweet ticket revenue from all the corporate suits.

Perhaps. I think at this point Green and Benning probably want to be fired. When they are, it’s still doesn’t change the fact that there is something very wrong with the core and changes need to be made with the roster as well. It’s going to be another rough stretch for the fans!

This kid is mad ,furious on himself. It is like chineese finger trap. Only get worse the more he fights. He needs to make it as easy as he can for himself, and then build on that. Forget about cool goals or plays. Back to basics. Tick of one thing at the time that works and build confidence from there.

Pettersson needs to bare some of the responsibility. He is indeed our number 1 center as planned. But he is not even producing like a number 3. We can replace Jim Benning tomorrow, bring in a new coach, but if he paces like this a 41 point pace, we are doomed no matter what. Partially he needs to bare some of responsibility for struggling this bad. unacceptable. 2 even strength points in the month of November from your number 1 centre is not good enough!

Changes most definitely need to be made to the roster. No doubt. It’s is a fundamentally broken roster build. Some of that will likely mean some of the core is moved. But locker room divides are interesting things…sometimes those divides disappear at the snap of the fingers when things start to look up.

EP hasn't proven a thing yet in the NHL...trade his ass if he thinks he is bigger than the team. He is a really good player who has an elite shot and solid puck handling but can't even take face-offs and falls down easily....not the #1C the team needs more a complimentary piece.

I’ve got to agree. What was his workout and conditioning regimen this summer? If his agent were capable he should feel shame. How could you allow your athlete spend his big contract summer not working out and then showing up for camp looking like a 17 year old computer nerd?

people blaming the team for Pettersson’s strength and conditioning, give your heads a shake. Many players take this on themselves and seek out top notch conditioning coaches.

is this 1989? yikes.

Pettersson’s strength and conditioning is not the issue here

There hasn’t been a team since they let Tanev and Marky walk.

It won’t be. The reason there is a rift in the room is due to Elias gigantic ego. The vets are fed up with him and his clique. Benning is a moron but he is not the reason Elias sucks and has an ego

These things are rarely an issue on winning teams. Surrounding a bunch of young players in a losing environment breeds this kind of stuff

Oh please, going with Demko was the right move for a team looking to the future. If anything, they should've moved Markstrom earlier, rather than lose him for nothing.

If EP can't be bothered to actually move his legs when he's on the ice, I have no problem with seeing what the trade market is like, although it's hard to imagine getting good value for a player who falls to the ice once per shift.
