Sure, but the question pertains to Drouin, not AG.

Drouin is getting time at centre to see if he can be a first line centerman. So far, he as delivered. As of now, should CJ move him around just because Drouin as had success at the wing position? Wouldn't that be weird after two games of good performance at the center of the first line?

Did Chucky not deliver when he scored 30 goals and has proved to be PPG pace every time he was placed at the #1C position 3 years in a row?

What is so weird about moving players to maximize your lineup in a PRESEASON game?

How do you propose we ADD scoring this this team that already has trouble scoring...in preseason.. against toronto's C team....with Drouin as #1C and they still shit the bed!

You will not get 30 goals from Chucky playing on the 4th line.

Drouin was tried at C in Tampa. It did not work.

Can we have three 30+ goal scorers on one line? Has it ever been done before? I sure would love to see it. One thing is for sure it would not be as easy to shutdown the line by just covering Pacioretty as in the Desharnais days with 3 legit scoring threats.

  1. Here are some of the best lines in the game today:
Anaheim: Bobby Ryan, Ryan Getzlaf, Corey Perry
Chicago: Patrick Sharp, Jonathan Toews, Patrick Kane
Detroit: Henrik Zetterberg, Pavel Datsyuk, Tomas Holmstrom
Washington: Alex Ovechkin, Nicklas Backstrom, Mike Knuble
Vancouver: Daniel Sedin, Henrik Sedin, Alex Burrows

At this point I don't even care if he plays centre or not, but just don't play him with Danault. He and Drouin are the most creative players the team has. Why not at least try them together?

You know what I think will make them try them together? The same thing that made MT decide to put Radulov and Galchenyuk last year. Their time on the PP. Radulov and Galchenyuk were on separate lines last year. But when they were together during the PP, their chemistry was undeniable and MT finally gave in. It also helped that Pacioretty was struggling out of the gate last year.

From my mangled translation, basically CJ wants him to play big minutes in his 1st season in north america.

Like others have said better for him to play top pair in Laval than 6th/7th D in montreal when he needs to learn the small rink size.

I would be fine with him playing RW, though center is better. But LW ? Even the announcers a few games ago mentioned he has to cut across to the right side to get his shot off well. "He should be playing a different postion". Funny they can see it, but some are being obtuse about it. And he won't succeed on a line with grinders. Neither would drouin. JD is playing OK, but people forget he is playing on the top line with wingers that draw attention. Who the hell is going to double team the offensive juggernaut danault? And here we are back with the "if he was an actual good player like crosby he would elevate his linemates."

So few players can actually do this, but many can help make there lines function better when placed with guys of a similar skillset instead of trying to hard. Chuck gets blamed for passing, holding on to the puck, not having the puck, hitting, not hitting, etc. At least hold him to a standard. He played great when given space with radulov, while I don't think Drouin can provide the same kind of space, I do think he can be enough of a threat to provide space in a different way.

Can you stop with this nonsense? Are you watching the games?

Plekanec got 54 points in 15/16 and he got demoted to a lesser role in 16/17 because he was struggling.

There's no logical reason to move Chucky up with the way he's playing. No one cares what he did a year ago it's all about what can you give me now!

Plekanec did not struggle. He just didn't produce because he was forcefully relegated to 3rd line defensive bitch the year after they traded Eller. Give him more offensive linemates and opportunites and he will bounce back. Just like he did when he scored 39 points in '09 which was preceeded and followed by 70 point seasons.

Once again, this is not the time to make experiences, this is the last game before the season opener, this is a game where we need the players to gel.

Playing Galchenyuk on the first line cannot be considered an experience to begin with. And no they don't need to gel tonight and no the lines won't last for 82 games.

He did struggle and he is the dirty job since a while for the habs (Eller was not). He is a two-way center always against the top line.

Go Chucky Go!

The only reason so many people are harsh on him it's because we believe he can be a game breaker and not a puzzle!

Except eller had more D zone faceoffs than anyone the last 3 years he played for us. Mitchell was getting a large number as well. Pleks got D duty, like eller had the years before. Just like when Pleks had 43 points in 2014 because he was taking more D coverage because of DD.

If Chucky would be playing well we wouldn't have this debate right now but he's playing like crap! So give me a break.

Geez man, you rage on and instruct me by writing something I wrote myself; that Chucky isn't playing well. That's the entire point of my post. I don't like how the team is handling it. Agree or disagree, but address what I actually said, or don't bother. We all know you'd defend management for anything they did, but at least add something.

Wise man say, forgiveness is divine, but never pay full price for late pizza.

This ethos should be expanded in our case to not paying ridiculous ticket prices for ****ty hockey.

TMNT the movie a true classic if there ever was one.

I have not paid for a game to the Bell in like 10 years, lucky enough I know a few people that I don't have to worry about it if I ever want to go to a game.

And Bell don't get a cent off me to watch it on TV and neither does CI. So far HD games with no cable needed. Just got to have good google fu skills LOL.

Speaking of Pizza, if you want one at the Bell Center you better take out a second mortgage on your house LOL.
