The problem is him not his teammates, just stop man.

No one could be so thick as to completely miss what I've been saying, so either you're intentionally misrepresenting what I said, or you're too close to Bergevin's exhaust. Either way, I'm done trying to have a discussion with you as you're clearly not interested.

We never said the problem were his teammates. It's the mix.
I found this on Reddit and I think it's quite accurate:

Chucky has had an horrible camp.

Chucky has been horrible for months now.

Chucky is struggling to do simple things against weak opposition.

Chucky won't suddenly achieve those simple things against stronger opposition.

Chucky isn't a star.

Chucky isn't the Habs' best offensive player.

Chucky has loads of work to do on his game.

It's up to Chucky to work his way back up the roster.

Stop blaming everyone but Chucky.

I honestly think Galchenyuk was ruined by Michel Therrien.

He totally f***ed up the kid's development. The age of 18-22 is extremely important to a player's development and Michel Therrien really did not know what he was doing.

I fully expect the wrath of the defenders but hey, "it's just an opinion".

f*** you Michel Therrien. Now and forever.

That's why you should never go on the internet if you want sensible opinions about hockey.

We all want that. We're a better team with Chucky on his top game. Most people only say that he need to be the agent of his own success. If every line is going well but him, you can't change the entire roster to make place for him. He needs to step up and i still think that he WILL step up.

I know Chucky has been playing bad and its up to him to get out of it but Come on lol other people they try with good players but for Chucky its all up to him to get out of it .
What happens if he plays #1 RW lol

He was top 10 scoring before injury and played like crap after he came back (wether he came back too fast or he just let his foot off the pedal).

Maybe hes just not a self starting player and needs help , There are ELITE players around the league who play with other good players to make them better .

Yhat's the thing. Gallagher doesn't need Drouin and Pacioretty. He'll be effective with anybody. And quite honestly I don't think anyone can say he's KEY for Pacioretty-Drouin successes..

It’s not over waffles, he just needs to light it up, he’s done it before hell do it again. The good news is, hopefully Julien won’t try to get another local nobody going at his expense, he doesn’t strike me like the type anyway. Therrien ruined a lot of players in my opinion but Julien can get them back on the right track,

This will be a final audition for some waiver eligible guys...
do we lose anyone????

Based on the previous game, if we lose anyone, it'll be due to team wide face punching. Hope not.

Actually, you do. You build your roster around your best players because that's how you improve your chances at success. I think people sometimes forget that even with Galchenyuk you'd hard pressed to make the argument that the Habs' have one of the better top 9 in the conference or league. Offence is an issue. He can provide it. Put him in a spot where he can help you most in that area.

I don't think you understand how it works, the guy is struggling to impose himself against ECHLers and your solution is to throw him against the best defensive players in the league! Get a grip!

I agree with you buddy, but what if Gallagher does make that line better ? You probably know it better than me that in hockey you need different elements on a line for it to succeed. Maybe having Gallagher on the line will mean better cycling and work along the boards which result into longer possession in the offensive zone which gives you more chances to score goals and the more chances you have the more you score. Maybe Galchenyuk won't be able to do that because that's not his game, maybe he'll try to take over the control of the puck from Drouin and we all know that this aspect of the game doesn't work in his favor. The key word is maybe, i guess if we never try him we may never know, but the coaching staff isn't stupid. They probably thought about it before we did and decided they can't do that for xyz reasons.

That's what kills me on this board, it's that the coaching staff and gms all around the league are stupid and we see it better then them. Yes some of them make mistakes but if they made that choice it was for a reason way more thought than anything we can talk about here.

I brewed some coffee and added some homemade pumpkin spice (cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger) to the grounds before pouring the water over it. It's not bad. Goes well with the Buffalo Trace Bourbon Cream (think Bailey's, but with bourbon).

During preseason, sweet Jesus Christ. What a risk to have him play a role that suits his strengths, nothing can possibly go right and it'll surely cost us valuable points in the nonexistent standings.

But what if it's at the detriment of other players/lines. I'm not saying don't try him, don't put him in a situation to succeed. But would you break three good lines to fit Galchenyuk somewhere without knowing if thoses three lines would still work ? Everyone on this board wants to see the kid have success and even be tried on the top line with Drouin. I think tonight we migth see a glimpse if they end up on the powerplay at the same time. But you have to admit that team found three lines that click together in a good way.

Man... To think we've come to a point where, in all probability, Galchenyuk starts the season on the 4th line. It's unbelievable.

From a fan's standpoint, the disappointments keep on piling up. A skillful C, 3rd overall pick. I hope this is not the end, but it sure seems we're witnessing number 27's final chapter in le bleu-blanc-rouge.

I see it more as Julien sending a message. You can't keep keep scoring talent under a lid on a team that is starved for it. He'll make his way to the top 6, as he always has.

Mmm. Sounds good, just in time for a crisp autumn evening to put up Halloween decorations and chill with preseason hockey. A pinch of rock salt and a smidge of baking soda can do wonders for fresh brewed coffee. That's a good thing.
