I have high standards for Slaf and I expect a lot. I have much lower standards for Dach. I feel we can get more from both.

Slaf is 20 though should probably wait at least another year before having those high standards. Many players don't reach their prime before 22. Kucherov did 18 points as a 20 years old. Marchand did 1 point in 20 games as a 21 years old. We are talking about high end elite talent there. Many guys figure it out faster but for me before 22 it's premature to have high expectations.

It’s about stockpiling assets and picks. You can use those for future trades. It’s all about stockpiling.

Some moves won’t work out. It’s the nature of what you’re doing, but some will. Hage and Hutson are examples of this.

Primeau probably played his last game, he can "play" backup (ie: sit at the end of the bench and do nothing) in the meantime, but he cannot get a start on the next back-to-back (Dec 20-21), so management got until then to figure out their goalies situation.

I think he can’t play another game. Riding Monty 60 games straight is a better solution. They need to find a better backup. Sure he can sit on the bench with another starter.

He's right though. There's no layers to our defensive system, which is why if our 1st option doesn't work, the players are left scanning for options. But, that's not something you want to do in defensive zone, as forecheckers get on you too fast. Players are left dumping it out or flipping it out if they get pressured. It also leads to giveaways.

Also, both Matheson & Hutson activated on the Dach play. One needs to stay back. Coaches need to decide if in that situation if they want the weak side or strong side D to stay back. They seem to leave it up to the players, so both went. Good coaches don't allow for that. Players know who does what in situations.

I think everyone is noticing that our system/ structure is terrible maybe KH could address that with Marty?

Matheson just flat out needs to go. Love the offense but on this team he’s just too exposed defensively.
