Slaf played okay everytime he was not with Armia, Newhook, Dvorak or Dach. I don't get the focus on Slaf honestly he's very far from the worst player in the team atm. He would be among the 4 best forward scorers of most teams in the NHL.

I’d have zero problem with him going back to the first. It probably makes sense to do that. He’s too important a player not to help out in every way we can.

Yeah, transition game blows, but that's actually on the coaches. We shouldn't be getting trapped as often as we are. Dach had no outlets on that play. He tried to dump it and got a weird bounce.

His trades have been logically sound. Shit happens.

You can make the right trade and have a player get hit by a bus. It doesn’t mean it wasn’t a great trade.

Yeah, Slafkovsky was hitting, and playing well defensively. He's not a concern.

I have high standards for Slaf and I expect a lot. I have much lower standards for Dach. I feel we can get more from both.

Not impressed by Dach and Slaf. Primeau should have played his last game in Montreal. Find a way to make it happen.

Primeau probably played his last game, he can "play" backup (ie: sit at the end of the bench and do nothing) in the meantime, but he cannot get a start on the next back-to-back (Dec 20-21), so management got until then to figure out their goalies situation.

Wouldn't be the worst idea, those were the lines they were going with preseason.

That said, I'm having no issues with Newhook on the 1st line, and I think there's a natural chemistry with Dach and Slaf that can be exploited if or when Dach ever finds his game again.

As part of the Lek trade he got a 2nd which he leveraged to get Hage.

No. The Dach trade was the kind of move you make every time. Injuries got in the way but that was a great trade.

As for Newhook, he’s a complimentary player. We didn’t give up much for him.

Late 1st early 2nd not much but Colorado second good.............ok got it.
