DeHaan was just a fill in contract
Parsinnen should be 3rd line C. Still young
2nd and 4th are needed to replenish
Yeah I wouldn't get to excited about Parsinnen. He does things once in a while to get you excited. And then nothing at all. The picks are a great get for the Rangers though.

I don't think it is. I think it's crap for crap, relatively speaking. Parssinen should have been a fit, I thought, but Bednar really doesn't like him. Hopefully the Avs haven't added much in the way of picks...
Bednar is an idiot. he won't play anyone under 30 years old.

Not the time for a Mein Kampf joke I guess

Yeah those Blackwood and Necas trades have been disasters
Blackwood is the only one that made the team better so far, and that was the easier low bar to clear. I think the Necas trade is a good move, but it doesn't make them better this year. The key point is Colorado better after all the wheeling and dealing and not having many assets left? Maybe marginally. It's a lot of noise for little movement.

I think folks are not reading this deal correctly. It’s actually a very good deal for Colorado.

Lindgren - he was asked to play 1st pair minutes with Fox but that is not the right position for him. He can’t handle 20+ minutes and that’s why he was always injured. He plays physical but is not that big so he was getting destroyed playing 20+ minutes.

In Colorado he can play 15 minutes on the 3rd pair and do very well I think.

Vesey and Parsinnen are about equal

De Haan sucks

This is an interesting change-of-scenery trade for Colorado. Lindgren used to be a really solid defensive D, but injuries and general overuse have taken a toll on him even though he only just turned 27. I'll be curious to see if his game improves back to a certain level when given bottom-pair minutes rather than being tied to Fox's hip. Vesey could also be a better fit for a 4th liner's game than Parssinen is.

I was targeting David Savard for similar reasons. I have more showing from him than Lingren. I have to trust our management but bottom pair, and PK should be his mandate.

How Lingren speed. I think we prefer him maybe more about this aspect. Savard is maybe too slow for us.

Lindgren is an undersized d man who tried to play the game of a 6’4” 220lb bruiser. It earned him a career but is the reason why he’s pretty much washed at a young age

Yeah. Unfortunately for Lindgren, i think this trade value very much reflects that as well. Sadly for him, this value looks like he's never really going to get that "cash in" contract either. Spent most of his career playing hard and taking a beating on fairly cheap deals and is now more or less kaput. Depth defenceman sort of money probably the most that'll be on the table for him this summer.
