Kovacevic has definitely earned a spot. Good pker. I'd take that over Wideman on PP.

Matheson - Edmundson
Guhle - Savard
Harris - Kovacevic
Wideman

And, yeah Xhekaj to Laval. Numbers game only, but he's also not quite as developed as Guhle/Harris are.

You wonder with Xhekaj so close though if Edmundson gets put on the trade table at TD. Lots & lots of teams would love to have him if he's healthy.
Xhekaj just hasn’t played that much. He needs time and coaching. Give him a year in the AHL snd he’ll be fine.

Monahan will 100% be traded and we'll get our 3rd first round pick.
I'd like another first rounder as much as most of us in here.

However, if Monahan proves that he can stay healthy all year, and is willing to sign an extension that the Habs can fit into their salary structure, why would we not do it?

He'd be one of those valuable veterans that all teams needs during a rebuild. He's not old and i'm sure he's just happy to have a chance to play without the pressure of years past. Deluxe 3rd line center that can make the youngins produce. Sure the 1st choice on tdl would be nice but when are we going to find a player like that?

Radio guys have to be more hyped than TV broadcasters because on TV, you can let the images do some of the talking.

Here is an example of Martin McGuire going 100 miles an hour in his pxp while Monahan is simply gliding at a slow pace.

McGuire has the gift of gab but he just doesn't know when to turn the fawcet off. Pauses are not something he's particularly good at.

He doesn't fit the age of the core. Would be better to continue building through the draft for one more year. Most importantly, it's crucial to sell high.

Martin McGuire is very good to describe the game . I was surprised that TVA didn't hire him .
He's absolutely entertaining and passionate. I even know a woman that starts to like hockey just by listen to him at the radio :hyper:

I may be biased because I love Xhekaj and I don't profess to be an advanced stats expert but, based on the stats from the last 2 games, Xhekaj was much better defensively than Kovacevic, Harris, and Savard. Other than the stupid penalties, I thought he was quite good. Am I reading the chart wrong? Serious question.
