Thank you for posting, I was waiting for your feedback - I vehemently disagree.

I counted 7-times when he stripped the puck in the Pit zone off a board / puck battle but just missed getting off a pass to a teammate.

Like I posted earlier today, Slaf’s issue is he needs fine tuning on NHL time & space execution. He’s a split second too late making decisions, he could’ve scored but could strip the puck from in between the goalies legs - split second late in read & react
He makes good moves and he makes plays but they always end up wrong. Whiffs on a puck, misses a pass, falls down, etc.

That is all related to strength, balance and coordination. He needs puck touches and he needs time to train. Thats where the OHL comes in. Im not really concerned with learning the "pro" game, hes been playing pro for a year now, these things sort themselves out and usually, rather quickly.

The fact that you were waiting for my post might mean that you see the same thing as me, but interpret it differently though.

I love that moniker, even if it was Flames-originated.

Time to update it as a Habs moneymaker.

These games will be huge for Guhle and Harris…

Matheson and Edmunson being out hurts but the experience is so valuable and they’ve both risen to the challenge.

Don’t let people tell you the NHL isn’t a developmental league lol.

Whether we’re competitive or not, the way money hands is playing right now, he will fetch us a first

Hughes could very well get us 2 first for nothing lol

It's early with Monahan.

I think Anderson or Dvorak were the ones he wanted to use. But they need to pick up their production or they ain't fetching a 1st...

I feel like Slaf needs better core strength. His legs stay straight up, but his upper body falls. Needs better abs/core. That'll come with time though, even though he's big and strong, there's a difference between man strength and teenage strength.

Imagine if Bergy ever had a summer adding two guys like Monahan and Dach during Price's prime.
Man, you guys are rough on him.

He did get us prime Vanek in the middle of PPG season and he just didn't put the effort in the playoffs for whatever reason and the fans even didn't want him to stay.

He got us Radulov from the KHL and he was our best player in the playoffs that year. You can go ahead and blame him for not being able to keep him, and he was great for a few years after, but he did just put up only 22pts in the last year of that 6.25m contract.

He got Tatar as a side piece in the Pacioretty deal, who while it ended ugly was almost a PPG player for a period.

He got Toffoli on a bargain contract who was another almost PPG player that we got assets for.

He got Petry himself when he was a nobody and he put up 4 straight 40 points seasons.

Dach is also an asset we got from giving up big in Romanov, which was a Berg drafty. If you're gonna give new management credit for Dach, then give Berg credit for Suzuki.
