Monahan Suzuki Caulfield is way better than anything else I've seen with those Kids better even than Toffoli who isn't nearly as complete a hockey player as Sean Monahan. They haven't even started to gel yet.

Tofu was fine with them. But I thought that line desperately needed a lefty player. Having 3 righties as a top line is just weird.

Great game by Monty, Slaf hitting hard making plays, HE BELONGS! Ghule is a stud Dadanov extremely noticeable tonight. And last but not least, Suzuki and Caufield are well on their way to becoming “Ordinary Superstars “ for all you Als fans that remember the great Johnny Rodgers!!! Also props to Dach and Monahan! Well done lads! Are we not entertained!!!!!!

He just turned 28 this month.

His game doesn't rely on speed but he's so savvy. I don't think his play will be affected by his age in the next 3-4 years.

You always need good vets like him, especially with his flair for the net.

Let's see how he holds up the rest of the season.
Agree to disagree. I see this as Lekhonen 2.0.

Core's age is an absolute garbage concept. I never saw a team winning the Cup with a full core of same age players. You need veterans as much as young bloods.
My god. We're 4 games into the season and Monahan is playing for a contract. Let's not get over attached. Nobody said or implied that you can't win a cup without vets. Keeping Monahan as a UFA after two hip surgeries when he's tracking to have a bounceback season is ridiculous. We're in the midst of a rebuild.

Thank god HuGo have the long term vision in mind. Either way, I am confident that in February Monahan will be dealt and everyone will applaud the trade.

I think it’s a win either way, whether signed or traded.

Let’s just hope he makes it through the season healthy, the rest will take care of itself.

Hoffman and Tatar making the same money except for Hoffman having one more contract year.

What do we add to Hoffman to get Tatar back? :naughty:
Not sure but Tatar was happy here. Sad to see how things ended here for him. Would love to get him back if it meant it'll rejuvenate Gally (lets face it he'll never get traded).
Monahan is a lefty. You will see him take the draws on the left side while Suzuki takes them on the right. Tofu had his issues namely he was too slow.
Yup. Hopefully Monahan stays on top line and Slaf is watching closely because that'll be his spot one day.

Also, never underestimate the bank of knowledge on this forum. Aluminum and Vanadium must be part of the ingredients, in that case.

6AL-4V Eli is an alloyed Grade of Titanium. It is strengthened by the inclusion of roughly 6% Aluminum and 4% Vanadium. Titanium 6AL-4V Eli (Extra-Low Interstitial) is considered a higher purity than 6AL-4V Grade 5 due to its lower inclusions of Iron, and the interstitial elements, Carbon and Oxygen.

Also relevant:

Ti-6Al4V-ELI (Extra Low Interstitial) is suitable for use in the biomedical and medical fields as well as for a wide range of industrial applications.

that alloy is goated for mechanical properties, notably when it comes to fatigue, though it can be contra-indicated in certain cases because if an implant is too strong, it ends up taking all the mechanical load, which in turn causes osteoporosis (i.e. loss of bone density/mass) in the surrounding bones, which makes them even more fragile. Don't know if hip implants is such a case, but it seems not judging by a quick research. /nerdtalkoff

If he has a bounceback season what do his hip surgeries matter? He's 27. I would be happy keeping a competent player of his age on the team.
