Caufield: 21 years old
Dach: 21 years old
Suzuki : 23 years old

All contributed tonight. fantastic!

I also think Harris is playing great as well. His style won’t get him noticed much but that means he’s playing well. Just solid all around and thought he deserved a shoutout as well

I forget the fact that Dach is only 21. That trade could end being a massive win for this team.

Yup there’s no need to rush Slaf since we already have such a prominent youth movement. On the other hand I think if we count this as Slaf’s red shirt year this season being around the team can’t be all bad. He still needs to learn to be a big time producer — dunno when/where that’ll happen.
I don't know if he has big time producer in him. I can see Anderson type of production, streaky numbers but he does other stuff to help his linemates.

I haven't heard anyone talk about Jackeye. He looked like a young petry at times last night! Raw skills... what a pick up! even though he wasn't amazing I thought he belonged in the convo with the other Rooks!

Back then you couldn't get centres, although today apparently you can.
Bergevin was a liar. Some Centerman were availlable back in the days, but he always said his prospect weren’t availlable. « He didnt want to mortage the future ». Like if those GM wanted scrapp for their best centerman. Probably Bergevin rejected more trade than we know, and we would be ashamed to discover them

Any body else getting concerned that we may be a bubble team instead of a bottom 5?

Money Hands and Dach Ghule, Harris are passing with flying colors.

Along with Goalfield and Suzy.
The Habs have 1.5 lines who produced in 4 games. Unless other teams go on total collapse, they aren't a bubble team yet.

I liked Guhle’s skills with the puck during preseason, but his defensive play looked raw. 4 nhl games in and he looks completely different in his own end - and that’s great!

I felt he was our most NHL ready type based on his defensive/physical approach. Xhekaj as well but he came out of nowhere.

Love what I am seeing from Guhle so far. Very solid well rounded game and you can clearly see him getting more comfortable out there each game. Very exciting to see so far

Really great game last night.

Yeah, we gave up 2 in the first, but they were both things that can easily be fixed. I thought we played on their level, if not slightly better for the majority of the game though.

I was so happy to see the Money to Dach goal to end the game, I noticed Dach sneaking to the left of the goal, but Sean did to and set him up perfectly.

Bravo....

And the Leafs losing to the Yotes just makes it a sweeter night.

I really don't think he's not interested, the problem with that kind of pass is that they work once in 10 attempts...

But he's going for them all the time... Generating turnovers most of the time.
Bobby Orr once commented about trying things that would only 1 in 10 times.Seemed to have worked out well for him.

I've said it for months now. We are likely to track a bottom 5-10 range finish or bottom 8-12 range. Fringe bubble team is possible but our fan herd with the latest flavor (tank flavor) is too afraid to consider it.

We were not a good team last year but lots of bad thing piled up and it snowballed on us. We have lots of youth learning on the job this season but we also have lots of good NHL players mixed in with them.

This is not last year's team. Far from it.

Great win last night. Love seeing the kids play like that, it really gives me hope.

We will definitely need some production out of Gallagher, Dvorak and Dadonov…..they ain’t doing shit at the moment….and Hoffman, don’t even get me started. I would fire him into the sun if I could.

That's how I see it too. He is still a good player with great hands and shot while fitting with the emerging identity of a heavy, skilled team and bringing vet experience.

With Monahan, the question was always health, not ability. When healthy, he is a very effective center/forward. A few seasons ago, he would have been on par with Danault.

Still young at age 28. If he stays healthy, I think he will have a very solid season and let the debate begin... trade him for the best future or extend him. I think Hughes trades him and a 1st rounder is possible (also possible to sign him in the off season). Centers and D always get more. Question is... is this deadline going to be more conservative due to prices last deadline? Time will tell.

According to my sources, we will definitely make the playoffs, or we will not. Either way, there’s a possibility of winning it all, or falling well short. We’ll likely have a good indication of the trend in 3-4 months but definitely know the results by July 2023.

It is a small sample size, but so far it seems like Robidas was a very good hire.

Coming into a situation with 4 rookies on D and Savard/Wideman as your vets is a very rough situation for a rookie coach. Yet, he has our young D playing with a ton of confidence and making significantly less mistakes than we saw from our vets the last 3 decades.
