What a rock’em sock’em tilt by the Powerhorse — total pugilistic dominance.

Let out all of his frustrations in one fight.

Meantime …

Lol... Jarry has more goals now than Anderson. That's Gold, Jerry! Gold!!!
Just watched some highlights from before the third period. JA actually had some chances and looked like he had a decent game. If he weren't in a 100 game scoring slump you could say this was a great game for him.

Suzuki was asked "what's not clicking on the powerplay"..

I have a suggestion. Nick didn't know.

it's too bad about Newhook. we're so thin in our top 6, and trying to develop guys like him and dach that the timing is crap. If he's out longterm hopefully this gives guys like Heinemann a shot - or maybe they move on from Savard, Harris, etc sooner or later and trade for more young projects.

i'd like to see a bottom pairing of Struble and Xhekaj. Can one of them play their off-side?

All five goals on primeau were glove side. Good luck Cayden making an nhl career with that obvious weakness.

I don't think Primeau will be a #1, but Price also had huge weakness there for years. Doesn't mean much long term IMO.

Primeau's issue is confidence. You can see him physically crumble when he gets scored on.

Tbh, I really don't know what the plan is. Does anyone know what team identity Hughes have in mind?

Just read that Wifi dropped by the practice today. I don't know if that is indication of him returning soon or what?

whenever I ask I'm told it's unacceptable to ask and we should bow down to Kent's every move because he's such a genius. The gang here gets quite upset if you doubt something Kent does and wonder what the plan is. They will still blame Bergevin, even for the the trades Kent makes lol, he's immune to criticism here and in the press.

The only goalie teams should be interested in is Monty. They would have to offer a lot because Habs are giving up on this season if they trade him.
Primeau had a few good games but he gives up way too many goals that shouldn’t beat NHL goalies. He’s athletic but his mechanics are terrible. Montembault used to be the same way and we helped him find his game but Primeau has been in the system for 4 years now and he doesn’t seem to be improving in the areas he needs too.

Anderson not good enough for either PP. Newhook goes down, Anderson back on PP1.

Slaf-Dvorak-Cole our best line. Newhook goes down, let’s break them up.

Fantastic coaching.
I mean we just don't have PP forwards.

Gally has ten years of failures to prove he isn't useful there. Since he entered the league he is the only forward who has played here more than six seasons. And yet with those substantial number of extra games played Markov, Subban, Patches and Chucky are still ahead of him in the past decade for PP points. Nick is four points back with 400 less games. He is less than double ahead of Desharnais, also in 400 less games.

Now this is just in cumulative pp points which makes Gally look a lot better. For individual seasons 25% of gallys pp points came in 2017-18 which was a very high scoring PP year for us. After that his next highest PP year was 10 points. This is with first wave PP time his entire career until recently. He's also fallen off a cliff and any goal scored with him in front of the net gets waived for interference. What's the point of putting him on the PP then if he's literally going to prevent goals?

After that you have Armia, Evans, Ylonen, Pearson, Newhook and Dvo. Which one of those do you think is a net front presence or is a guy you want facing point shots from our PP? Do you want Slaf getting shot at and going for garbage goals instead of developing his cycling game or learning how to run a PP? The guy in front of the net is there to screen and clean up garbage. Gallys the only other option and like I said, he sucks at it and he literally negates goals all the time with interference. Do you think a skilled player like Newhook should be screening the goalie? Or maybe Armia going from AHL to first wave PP would make sense. RHP could be a new Gallagher there but he's also injured.
