Marner and Matthews I'm not too worried about on their next contracts, neither will need much of a raise. Nylander I can see getting 9-10 on the open market as a UFA if he can be this guy consistently. Maybe more if someone thinks they can turn him into a C on top of that.

IMO we pay it. Cap will be up by then and rising each season, and Tavares will be expired and taking a big discount. The overall salary structure would say the same just changing around cap hits.

I don't know. Dreger saying that everyone in the Leafs management all saying that Sandin is the standout this preseason. Saying he's easily in the top 5. Dermott is 6th with Liljegren breathing down his neck and could drop to 7th. I'd have to say the bottom 3 are pretty even but in this preseason I'd have Liljegren as the best of them. And all 3 are breathing down Holl's neck.
