Gusev has really picked it up in the last few games. Weak start, good finish. Where does that leave him? No clue.

I wish we still had Leafs like Tucker who would go bezerk on the opposition whenever they tried any nonsense on the Leafs.

You don't see that very often

i just think it's because the other team and teammates are a lot more consistent. as weird as that is it makes it easier to read a play when everyone is doing it right rather than chaos. playmakers have an easier time because it's easier to predict where people should be, so you can exploit the play instead of outwilling the opponent.

I don't know if I just suck with player evaluation, or maybe I just have some bias, but Liljegren honestly has looked better than every defenseman besides Muzzin and Brodie this preseason. Obviously Rielly is better, and Holl is more proven, but for years now, I just don't get why management clearly thinks Sandin >>>>> Liljegren.

Some players will tell you it's easier to play on higher levels. Players are more structures and refined. They know where to be, they make better passes to you

I like both. I just think that up until the last game Sandin looked shakey and Lilly has looked crazy good. I’m hoping Sandin becomes our next Rielly and Lilly becomes our right sided Muzzin.

You can hit without taking penalties. You can push back without things getting out of hands
