Barron has enough on his plate just trying to stabilize his game. If and when he takes the same strides Xhekaj made in his own end sure.Or maybe Barron.

I expected a win as Washington is a really slow team.I guess the good news is the Habs are likely to compete with the caps for crap team, so them getting a point is good.
However you can see a llllloooottttt of bad with this team.
Why did I watch this on TVA..
He’s been good the past couple of games actually. Glad to see.Oh and not 6.5m worthy, but Gally played a Gally type game. I actually jumped out of my chair when he scored.
Agreed, though he did let in a couple of softies against the Leafs. Tonight he was solid. I don't really blame him for either goal he gave up.He’s been good the past couple of games actually. Glad to see.
Cole so good. Imagine if we’d had him in the mid 2010s to go with Carey…
Imagine Pacioretty - Davey - Caufield
If they're going to win, I prefer a blowout, but in regulation or ot is fine. Shootout is no Bueno.I think a only want to see OT wins, it just a lot more exciting.
The 2nd fastest player in NHL history to score 5 career OT goals5th OT winner for Cole already.
He is 22 lol
Slaf to QB power play? lol. Habs will allow more shorthanded goals than score on PP.IMO, I don't think Slaf is ready to QB the pp from the point + not a big fan of having a forward there, but he should definitely take Anderson's bumper spot. Having a left shot there would give Caufield more room seeing the defender would have to cover both Caufield shot and the pass to Slaf.
He would have become a much better person.
Actually I forgot, Caufield would’ve been played in the 4th under Therrien.
He’s not a just our first liner, he’s a superstar. We underrate our stars and overrate our suspects. He came close a few times before OT. I'm not a betting man, but I think I would have wagered him scoring the winner tonight.
The day we stop trying to set up Caufield is when the PP is going to improve. All 5 guys on the ice should be options. Cole will get his goals because of his shot, and he'll get more chances too. Stop being so predictable on the PP!Well that could really destroy his confidence for starters. I think that having him QB an already struggling pp could be a recipe for disaster.
The problem with Matheson is that he's not able to properly set up Caufield for the one timer. The only option is Suzuki, but that's a difficult cross ice pass to make and the pk already knows it's coming.
Maybe Barron could set him up a bit better as a RD, but I don't have much trust with Barron at the point neither.
Yea he should, but I think they want him to use his shot/one timer. He definitely could cause havoc in front of the net, dig for pucks in the corners, and definitely has the hands to set up some passes from there after getting possession
Couldn't have said it better myself. He’s not a just our first liner, he’s a superstar. We underrate our stars and overrate our suspects.
Is Caufield the hab's best/most exciting player since Kovalev?
No, thats Carey Price, and hes the best since Roy arguably maybe Lafleur. And I doubt well get something better. Is Caufield the hab's best/most exciting player since Kovalev?
That's true, but the thing is that Caufield is still the main weapon on the pp and I don't even think they have a couple set plays for him to get his shot off. The only play to Caufield is the Suzuki shot/pass option. That's unacceptable for an NHL level pp with a sniper like Caufield. The day we stop trying to set up Caufield is when the PP is going to improve. All 5 guys on the ice should be options. Cole will get his goals because of his shot, and he'll get more chances too. Stop being so predictable on the PP!
Unless it's me misreading your comment, that's pretty much what I saidSlaf to QB power play? lol. Habs will allow more shorthanded goals than score on PP.
