nice to get a win. I know we all want Burrows gone, but we don't have the D to QB a PP. Matheson has looked f***ing awful this year. He was Bambi tonight, tripping over his shadow. He looked like a goof on the first goal against. He's not a QB PP nor is he a 1st pairing D, with gulp, Savard.
The speed of execution on the PP is incredibly slow - teams also collapse down low because we have no legit bomb from the point except maybe Xhekaj.
Can't wait for Mailloux, Hutson, Reinbacher etc.
It's incredible how much of the glue Dach was. Without him there's no depth. For the 10000th time we nee to draft another game breaker like Caufield.

I agree with all your points but that goes back to coaching. Coach must realizr they don't have a proper QB on the PP so they need to devise some other strategies. Repeating same rotation over and over again ain't gonna cut it... everyone on the opposing side knows the drill. Sigh. Brutal.

Why did I watch this on TVA.. every single freaking play stoppage they shove adds down our throats instead of having replays and pretinent comments like RDS does. God they're terrible, from Felix/Patrick to Renaud Lavoie.

Because the other two RHS D-Men are Jonathan Kovacevic and Justin Barron, neither of which should be playing 20 minutes.

(Though, frankly, I'd try giving Kovacevic bigger duties)

Having Slaf at the point on the top PP unit would be a good start and its not Burrows' decision, thats a head coach one.

He's not even fast enough to be a PK specialist anymore.

And he plays 20 mins because MSL is sheltering the kids D. None of them played a full season yet beside Kovacevic (85 NHL games). Harris is next with 78...

PP 1 looks like a mess , Slaf was good on pp 2 but meh at 5 on 5 this game

1st and 2nd period was good for him 5 on 5 less eventful in the 3rd for that line but still alright
