Post-Game Talk: Habs blow it against the Islanders in OT

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.
    • Our 2025 light and dark themes were lost, so we are rebuilding them. Light theme is currently available, but work in progress

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

In the meantime, feel free to join our Discord Server
They completely refused to cycle the puck in OT.

I don't like the player swapping stuff in OT. Just have 3 3v3 lines and roll them out.

Hard to be too mad about the result because they played well, but it also feels like a very winnable point that we let slip.

It's why I hated our OT . We didn't try to build anything and went for one long pass and an individual play.

Even if you argue that the second and 4th goals were not "stoppable"... That's 2 bad goals.
2 bad goals against Ottawa.

Looks like Montabo needs a break again. Is Stephen Waite still with Habs? Is there a goalie coach?

Monty wasn't great tonight but man some of you guys have a weird hate for this guy. Gallagher's goal was way worse than Horvat/Holmstrom yet I don't see anyone saying Sorokin shit to bed and choked the win away.
Because he made like 10 incredible saves on top of that. Only reason the Isles were in that game was because of him. Monty didn’t make a difficult save all game.

If your still concerned about draft position at this juncture give your nuts a serious tug dude
Since when have I cared about our draft position?

Not caring if we miss the playoffs, doesn't mean I want them to tank for a "pray-and-hope" draft pick.
