Post-Game Talk: Habs blow it against the Islanders in OT

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.
    • Our 2025 light and dark themes were lost, so we are rebuilding them. Light theme is currently available, but work in progress

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

2 brutal games from Montemblow in a row

Just cant happen. The team is laying it on the line and he is laying eggs

CC was trash tonight

Third line was the best

Jackeye and Savard cant be trusted sadly
Do you think Arber will improve once he gets paired with someone younger and more mobile than Savard? He frustrates me.

Too bad boys, nice try

I'll take the point tho bigtime
Especially after being down 3-1

That Gallagher goal was something else tho man, i mean wow
That was for Mum.
Myself my mother died of Brain Cancer when I was a child, so I can sympathize with Gally there a bit .. Cancer took my Mother, 2 Uncles, 2 Aunts, so I definitely have an axe to grind with that f***er
Big goal for Della, RIP lovely woman

Proud of the guys regardless

It only made sense that PATRIK Laine and Joshua ROY would score tonight.
I'm a Laine fan but I blame him for the OT goal. he should have read the play that Hutson wasn't really going anywhere with that rush and been ready to not get caught up ice for the 2 on 1 going the other way.

Monty wasn't great tonight but man some of you guys have a weird hate for this guy. Gallagher's goal was way worse than Horvat/Holmstrom yet I don't see anyone saying Sorokin shit to bed and choked the win away.
We don't really give a damn about another team's roster, unless they're targets for trades.

Could've been a lot worse.

We move a point closer to Ottawa, a point further ahead of the Rangers and Wings, and we stay 3 points ahead of Columbus.

The game Saturday is massive though because the Islanders and Jackets play on Monday. There's a very good chance whoever wins that game overtakes us on Monday if we lose against Colorado.

No that’s on Hutson. You can’t streak up the ice if you’re the D on the ice in OT with Laine and another forward. It’s a disaster waiting to happen.

Valuable experience, got a point, and hopefully Lane Hutson doesn’t hotdog like that again.

Slafkovsky another bad game but better than the previous stinker. If he’s going to return to bobo mode we need to swap him out of the first line.

I think he expected Hutson to hold onto the puck. Usually Hutson in that scenario holds onto the puck and tries to generate a scoring chance for someone else. But I guess he felt the momentum and, well, it didn't work out.
