Anyone still thinking that getting rid of Merkley was a bad idea??? 5-0 since he left the building and Gogolev stepped on the ice. Hmm, I'm thinking that we seriously got the better end of the deal.
for upgrade on forward?.....WHO on storm is his equal?..nobody!..gogo makes this team a contender..
Rumour is the storm frontrunner to landing Dellandrea. Gogolev & picks is probably just someone’s guess at what might make sense as a return.
something that WORKS... FITS ...and will only make this team better... (Gogolev).. for a BIG maybe ...plus picks... what a dumb a$$ move that would be..Gogo works perfectly with Russian team mates.... is happy here... and will get even better... surely a perfect reason to make such an idiot move eh?... Easy SS. I think the rumour on the GeneralsLive tweet is likely BS and unfounded for the very reasons you state. Using “Word is” to lead into that rumour holds no water without a source reference. My first question was “who’s word is that?”.

Word is, if Gogolev pre-storm and a couple picks are worth Merkley, what in the world would people have to offer to get him now, especially with 8 points in his last 4 games and a plus 8 as well.
Burnett is not stupid, he won't flip him unless it's a top player in the league, not with the resurgence of Toropchenko coming from the arrival of Gogolev as well.
Unless it's someone like Frost or Tippett. Don't believe a word that guy says about the Storm.

D is the only thing this team can focus on at the moment.
We'll never know the answer because they aren't reliable regardless.
Someone completely based out of Oshawa and is so far up their goaltender it isn't even possible for them to know of such things.
Anyone can gain a following and tweet out whatever they want to.
Everyone should just tweet out "Word is, Noel and Keyser are on the block" and I bet you they'd be the first one crying "NOOOOOOO"

This team is even more screwed on D after Hanley went down yesterday. Was told his ankle isnt broken so that's good but at best he probably has the dreaded high ankle sprain which isnt a short term injury.
Even with only 5 D yesterday George would not use Terry or Profaca in the third period so they were essentially only playing with 3 D, Woolley, Lalonde and Chayka. Lalonde had a bit of a rough weekend falling all over the place.
If this team is a buyer then a D has to be next on the list, even with Sammy and Hanley in the lineup another vet D is needed. But with no Sammy for the next handful of games and Hanley likely out for a while they need to get one.....like before Wednesday.
Gogo has been a pleasant surprise. Kid has been killing it so far and seems to have great chemistry with Hawel and Toropchenko.
Poppy had a very solid weekend too.
Ratty....ehhhh he has not looked all that great since coming back from WJC camp.
Owen Sound, Windsor and North Bay on tap this week. All very winnable games for this team IMO

Owen sound would be the team to make the big deal with. Not sure you would get both though

Chayka is worth more than that.
Chayka isn't being moved unless it's someone on Team Canada or a top 5 scorer in the league. He's 16, not draft eligible until 2021 and is already playing top minutes.
heez our future MVP on Defense.... in my op...a top 5 -10.. nhl draft pick in 21...all this BS from other teams just proves;.... they agree.

you do realize Yantsis is on pace for 40-50 goals and Gareffa is 3rd in points in OHL for points for defenceman. Also they could both come back as overage, you guys make Chayla sound like the second coming LOL
indeed!/..given such awesome recommendations .. what would possess one to even suggest giving up such classy players eh?..this Storm team is a WINNER just busting out of a bad dream.. ..it is a good team.. with a real good kid to build on..plus Gogolev..It is NOT a well coached team like the last Guelph cup team.. ..and for sure your guys from Kitch are no guarantee .. to fit or succeed here..like a Roberts was back then..Thanks for confirming though..our talent value as we are gettin all sloppy cleaning up the drool around them from yooz nice guys who want to help us so much..
