Finland's historic vengeance is going to be rather lame experience.

Ofc, win is win is it by 5 or only 1 more goal, but I do not believe this roster cannot do or are willing to do better against GBR.

Finland's just awful to watch against these weaker countries for the past several years. What happened to fun offensive hockey?

If Luostarinen is hurt badly this tournament could be over. We need both him and Lammikko as centers.I think Luostarinen has been one of our three best players as well. F*ck, i hope it´s not a serious knee injury, not only for Team Finland but his future career. He has potential to become an NHL player.
Could be time to play Kakko at C.

Next game is against France. I expect similar half-effort. Great! Damn good practice to get defeated by Germany something like 4-1 etc.

This game is just one step toward that to occur.

Yeah, really can't afford to take it so easy, it's tough to step your game back up when needed.

Jokiharju had a good game, nice that he got an apple

I'm not sure if Finns half-assed this or if GB played a pretty good forecheck and cycling game or both...

Have to give plenty credit to British defence to shutting Kakko down tonight's game that was excellent job.
5 important goals to Finland's secondary scoring this was exactly that what this team really needed to get that scoring pressure away from Kakko.

It's not realistic to expect that 18 yrs old A junior ( Kakko) who's playing first men's worlds can carry whole team all the time and score all goals by himself.

GB played well.

I played GB+6 before the game as I thought there is no way the difference between these two teams is more than 5 goals. 2.75 odds, good money.

Well that... is thankfully over.

He didn't really deserve in this game to be in PP1, but going forward, maybe re-think Kakko not being there? I mean, I guess this is some "keep the young guy humble" thing or whatever, but PP really needs some creativity.

It's the same script for all games like these. The underdog starts strong, keeps it close for the first period, until the heavy favorite finally cracks the puzzle early in the second. The latter may add one or two more in the same period, and then the third is a cakewalk with some more for padding, when the opponent is all worn down from all the running around. They can never keep up a full sixty minutes of the thing they do in the first.

We clinched a QF spot!

I don't think it is as important as he previously has been to win the group as every opponent will be a pain in the ass for us. We will be a huge underdog whoever we will meet. Yes, even Switzerland.

Hugging with solf rag doll of insecurity with very vivid vision that QF is the last thing this team can clinch...

Another fine display of Finnish inefficiency. I swear most of the team seems to believe their job is to move the puck around rather than putting it in the net.
