the ice has been pretty damn horrid for the entire tournament....
as for the boring play...it just seems that Finland has this "defence first" -theme for the tournament regardless of who the opponent is....
You'd imagine this kind of games would be a good opportunity to practice some offense but I guess not.
Uh, have you checked the shot counts. Pretty one-sided here.
Very few of those have been dangerous.

it's like watching whack-a-mole at a fair or something...
Uh, have you checked the shot counts. Pretty one-sided here.
one sided yes...but I am not impressed....UK has actually had one or two decent chances...Finland is trying to walk the puck in the net.... there does not seem to be any idea in the game...only reacting......just my opinion...

somehow it feels that the Finnish team was put together as the perennial "underdog" and they just do not know how to dominate a game even when the skill-difference is that huge...

Very difficult 1st period to Finland.
British goalie nearly stands in his head and looks next Dominik Hasek.

That Finland's 1st powerplay was so miserable i don't know should i laugh or cry on it.
With these troubles what Finland had in 1st period would be cool to see how this game starts rolling if British players scores first.
WAKE UP FINLAND it's only Great Britain not Soviet unions red machine.

This entire tournament ive noticed how Kakko's role on PP is so bizarre.
Yeah, unfortunately he gets totally wasted. He should be the one running the PP on the right side.

I guess it's Jalonen's team-first mentality or something but I wish he was put in the best place for success, that'd be good for the team as well.

For some reason Kakko isn't even on PP1.

Finland just doesn't have the talent. They started well because the other teams had not gelled as a team yet.

But as the tournament continues, the other teams get better because the talent is deeper and they learn to play together whereas Finland has already topped and has no more room for improvement.
