GDT: Group A - May 17 - Finland vs Great Britain

But as the tournament continues, the other teams get better because the talent is deeper and they learn to play together whereas Finland has already topped and has no more room for improvement.

Sorry but no amount of work can top raw talent. The other teams, take Sweden for example,are deeper in talent. Granted they have not had a chance to play together but their potential is much higher than whatever Finland can put out.

Not sure where this cult of Jalonen is coming from. He is nothing special as a coach. Granted he won a gold a while back, but some of his roster decisions have not been exactly spectacular. You can only do so much with limited talent.

Enjoy the ride while it last as I don't see them getting past any of the big 5 at the semis.

Cult of Jalonen? wow... he is a capable coach don't you worry. and we've already seen that this team can do better in this tournament as well...Canada, USA, Slovakia...all better games than this one.....so they do know how to play better..

Nobody is arguing that there's not more talent in other teams....but to sell this team short is a little silly...they've already shown what they can do...

as for teamwork not beating top talent....you might want to tell Russia that as they are really embodiment of group of extremely talented individuals but hardly a team....year after year...

Yep easily.

Lost the puck several times but has also contributed to some good plays ans some too fancy. He isent as good on the puck as we have gotten used to

Yeah. Why Finns always need some kind Kollaa-river scenario to their heads to be able to perform well relative to their strength?

Hats off to GBR for making best they can, but Team Finland is underperforming now.
 
So far only the match against Denmark has been very bad for the Brits. In others they have put up a good match.
