if lowry wasn't the coach, i really don't like him very much so far. long shifts, no matchup changes, curious who Hockey Canada would take besides him, or who you guys as HF Canadians would want.

It will be a momentum builder. Can't wait to play the Finns, if we stay out of the box we can beat them the way we are playing. Stupid penalties (and some awful calls) are all that Sweden has in this game, all 3 goals on the PP.

We get it Canada is the best team even when they are not...

Its a pretty even game so far.

Well the team with "nothing at stake" in this case Sweden isn't really giving it all which is pretty easy to see. On the other hand they are still winning which is definitely a good thing!

All you seem to post about is how dissapointed in Strome, Marner etc are, yet take issue with people complaining (rightfully so in most cases based on what I've watched) about Virtanen? This whole team has been disappointing. The returning players and captain have been very underwhelming.

I'm now a huge Konecny fan. Best player by far for Canada this tournament.

TBH, Canada playing against the top teams in this tournament (USA and Sweden) isn't a fair comparison to the Finns playing against much weaker teams like Czech Republic, Slovakia.

Russia is still good but don't rate them as high as the Swedes and the Americans.

I think Canada beats Finland quite easily.

Czech's aren't weak. Good team.

Canada would have to play disciplined and there has been little evidence of that overall this year. Not sure if it will change. So I would choose Finland with win with powerplay goals alone.

I can't help but wonder where this team would be if Canada had chosen a better coach. Lowry is clueless. Just allowing ridiculously long shifts is reason enough to disqualify him.

Lots of good choices to choose from in Canada. Puzzling why they chose Lowry and McCrimmon.

i love how some members are just saying A Nylander is better then his brother becuase of this tourny by far the funniest thing ever, i mean its not like at the same age W Nylander had near record breaking years while A Nylander was just good or other thing big nylander as done smh

It can be argued what Alex is doing this year, a year younger in the same tournament is more impressive. 8 points in 4 games with a period to go in his draft year. William had 10 in 7 last year a year older. Regardless, one cannot take away what Alex has done this tournament thus far. First big game, he has aced it. He's making a statement of being one of the top 5 prospects this upcoming draft.

Well they are not USA or Sweden that's for sure. Not saying they are bad, they are pretty good actually, but they are not as strong as the nations mentioned.
