i love how some members are just saying A Nylander is better then his brother becuase of this tourny by far the funniest thing ever, i mean its not like at the same age W Nylander had near record breaking years while A Nylander was just good or other thing big nylander as done smh

Unless they change the ICE to Sand in the NHL, Forsling will not see a lick of success in the NHL. His skating is horrendous. Very high PP iq tho.

his skating is pretty bad, but things like that can be improved with work. The IQ he has in his own zone and on the PP can't be taught.

Certainly a spirited game for a game with "nothing at stake"

Atleast Konecny will see more ice. Even Lowry should notice this. He's been the best Canadian this game from the first shift. It took him 4 games to be used which is inexplicable.

True. I like the way he's played so far, but an agitator role doesn't really suit him all that well. He's a skill player, not a mucker...but I guess someone needs to do the dirty work.

We get it, you're anti-Canadian, as shown in this thread and on the politics. Not one positive remark from your mouth, when really Canada has been playing fine. Tone down the penalties and we're golden. Lots of time in this game to get back in the game, but that's not the point. We are playing a lot better than the previous games.

I did say that Marner hit was pretty awesome... but ok.

And lol @ this team playing fine. Whatever floats your boat.

Canada at the very least looks more interested this game, they haven't shown this level of intensity yet in the tournament. Unfortunately that doesn't translate to goals.

This. Makes no sense.

You could maybe argue Alex is better as a 17 year old but what Nylander has done as an 18 and 19 year old is insane. Would Alex even look this good if William was in the tournament? Alex took Wills role when he went down with injury.

I agree with this and it's exactly what I wrote earlier. PP qb instincts w. Below ECHL skating at the moment. Plenty of time

If he has a concussion, he won't play. He's following the program after a hit like that to evaluate if he has a concussion and they're not taking any chances.

What do you mean "shouldn't even be in?". He's the most exciting player of the tournament and is eligible.

He's too good for the tournament he's leading or was when he left the AHL in scoring

I would like to see Marner and Strome reunited for the third.. Need to shake things up

The game doesnt really mean anything.. Might as well try

I agree. I have seen no adjustment on Lowry's part. He's just letting these lines figure things out for themselves which is ridiculous.

Can't do it all??.. he isn't doing anything!!.. along with the rest of the team. . Is this actually him playing well?.. I'm actually wondering cause this is the most frequently I've seen him play and I have to say I'm very uninpressed.. but as I said, I've been unimpressed with almost everyone

as far as puck recovery, defensive plays etc he has been great. His line mates are giWe ving him no outlets, so the kids needs to get all waterbuggy till a guy opens up and usually by then the lose possession. When you watch Tkachuk-Dvorak-Marner the 3 are ALWAYS in motion.

We need to see more motion from Marners line mates then we will see some goals

It will be a momentum builder. Can't wait to play the Finns, if we stay out of the box we can beat them the way we are playing. Stupid penalties (and some awful calls) are all that Sweden has in this game, all 3 goals on the PP.

Canada will get eaten alive by the Fins.

TBH, Canada playing against the top teams in this tournament (USA and Sweden) isn't a fair comparison to the Finns playing against much weaker teams like Czech Republic, Slovakia.

Russia is still good but don't rate them as high as the Swedes and the Americans.

I think Canada beats Finland quite easily.

I was the one flamed when I said Point looked terrible last game. Getting a couple of Klingbergs (secondary assists) means nothing, really. Him and Virtanen are supposed to be carrying this team on their backs and look absolutely useless out there.

This team is clearly being built for next year, but that doesn't excuse how bad Lowry has been in his decisions.

Point and Virtanen are the 2 most useless guys, they also happen to be the most Injured at the moment. Coincidentally.

It a on Lowry to say enough is enough if those 2 are playing through their injuries. Give them a breather.

I'd be trying all different lines and trying all sorts of things if I were Lowry. . He needs to find line chemistry and this period is a perfect time since it's a mean nothing gane

This. If Nylander continues to show no symptoms in contact practice, he'll have followed the 7 day protocol for concussion monitoring and will be cleared to play on the 2nd for the QF.

Keep in mind Nylander hasn't showed any concussion-like symptoms yet.
