I came in with so much excitement to see marner and strome and other non whl guys(I see the whl guy always) and I can't believe how dissapointed I am.. this whole team has been an extreme bummer

Marner is getting a bum rap here. Kid can't do it all on his own. His linemates need to get open. Marner is getting double covered when he has the puck so that should leave an open guy but his linemates are watching.

Cmon guys get open, he will find you!!!

This Canadian team is just too young IMO to do anything this year. A bunch of 18-year olds trying to be flashy against much more older teams and it's not working out. They're trying but not capitalizing, not shooting enough on the PP, the PK is a joke.

The U.S.A isn't much older - they're being lead by two draft eligibles.

I know a lot of people weren't happy with the strome - marner combo but I think strome looks way better when he has marner on his line. Gives him more space and time and he knows to be ready for the puck anytime marner has it.

That Perlini penalty was a make up call for Konecny's dive.

We get it, you're anti-Canadian, as shown in this thread and on the politics. Not one positive remark from your mouth, when really Canada has been playing fine. Tone down the penalties and we're golden. Lots of time in this game to get back in the game, but that's not the point. We are playing a lot better than the previous games.

Uh oh, Marner hit might get reviewed. Jumped and principle hit to the head. I've seen less gets suspended.

Funny...tsn showed the Marner hit from a different angle and he is about 3 feet away from the red line when he jumps and hits him. Marner then travels about 4 feet in the air width ways and lands on the other side of the redline.

Still like the hit though!

Can't do it all??.. he isn't doing anything!!.. along with the rest of the team. . Is this actually him playing well?.. I'm actually wondering cause this is the most frequently I've seen him play and I have to say I'm very uninpressed.. but as I said, I've been unimpressed with almost everyone

Funny no one saying anything bad about strome, invisible this game

TSN mentioned him. They said he's been Canada's best player this tournament. The entire team looks poor today, though.

Weird to think the U.S. out shot Sweden 44-22 and controlled the play most of the time and Canada seems outmatched. They need to do something with the lines.

I was the one flamed when I said Point looked terrible last game. Getting a couple of Klingbergs (secondary assists) means nothing, really. Him and Virtanen are supposed to be carrying this team on their backs and look absolutely useless out there.

This team is clearly being built for next year, but that doesn't excuse how bad Lowry has been in his decisions.

I would like to see Marner and Strome reunited for the third.. Need to shake things up

The game doesnt really mean anything.. Might as well try

Atleast Konecny will see more ice. Even Lowry should notice this. He's been the best Canadian this game from the first shift. It took him 4 games to be used which is inexplicable.

I hope he just gets sat out all tournament what's the point in aggregating a concusion for a tournament he shouldn't even be in
If he has a concussion, he won't play. He's following the program after a hit like that to evaluate if he has a concussion and they're not taking any chances.

What do you mean "shouldn't even be in?". He's the most exciting player of the tournament and is eligible.

What? I don't view his skating that bad, pretty average?

It is very choppy and his transitioning turning from skating backwards to forward is Bantam level. That has always been the knock on him. It looks like it has improved from what I saw last year but it's still below ECHL level. Just my 2 cents. He has lots of time to work on it.
