As a big knights fan. I see a lot of similarities w. Gagner and Marner at this level.
I doubt you've watched more than 3 Knight games this year.

Sure, they're a great hockey nation.
Just strange to be so dominant at the group stage but have issues in the elimination games.

He also just came off a rib injury, which could explain why he looks incredibly tentative out there. I don't think it's a coincidence that he and Point have looked so "off".Didnt know that, that adds even more reasoning .Probably the first time kid has had a injury like that ,might be a bit for him to overcome .Kid hasnt forgotten how to play hockey ,he is just having a tough go of it .He is still just a teenager ,give him some time
The so called 'star power' on this team is too young and too weak to be true stars. There is no alpha dog amongst this group, no game changers.
40 goal Jr scorer that hits like Mack truck and a mean streak. Simple.
Wait till he actually grows into his body and get his man strength. Scouts aren't paid to predict how prospects develp when they are 19. They need to have the foresight for when a player is 22.
he was an awesome player before it, completely different than he is now. he had an incredible shot, and played like a bull. just hasn't been the same since, and has tracked really bad for a 6th overall pick.Didnt know that, that adds even more reasoning .Probably the first time kid has had a injury like that ,might be a bit for him to overcome .Kid hasnt forgotten how to play hockey ,he is just having a tough go of it .He is still just a teenager ,give him some time
blah blah blahy blah, yeah yeah we knows Canada is the best hockey nation in the world, we usually lost because all our players are in NHL blah blah blahy blah![]()
No real surprise Sweden always has a competitive team, they are a hockey powerhouse.Heh yeah.
My guess is that since we often have a team with a lot of pro experience, we don't step on mines as often as most junior teams. However, the further on we go the more talent becomes the deciding factor and we lose that edge.
More than 3 Knight games ever**I doubt you've watched more than 3 Knight games this year.
If you guys were underachieving and pissed off would you have answered differently? They are pissed off and they should be
This year's Gauthier, Murphy, Lipon, Della-Rovere etc.
Canadian fans pick one player and **** all over them.
He is still a top end prospect, look at players who get hurt in their draft year .We have Colin White who slipped to 21st ,he is over a ppg in the NCAA this season.Virtanen is just dealing with overcoming that injury ,it probably hurt his offseason training routine ,and set him back .Next year he should be much betterhe was an awesome player before it, completely different than he is now. he had an incredible shot, and played like a bull. just hasn't been the same since, and has tracked really bad for a 6th overall pick.
Just hysterically bad coaching. I'm so frustrated with the state of coaching and management in hockey.
What I think:
Beauvillier-Strome-Konecny
Gauthier-Barzal-Marner
Crouse-Stephens-Point
Perlini-Quenneville-Chartier
Virtanen
That fourth line + Virtanen should rarely play. IDGAF if Point, Perlini, and Virtanen are "supposed" to be top six players on this team. Especially the latter two don't deserve to be playing any minutes.
This is going to be controversial but Josh Ho-Sang would help this team
Enough ,kid is 19 years old .And coming off an injury ,this trashing of kids needs to endVirtanen might be one of the worst world junior players I've seen play for Canada. He is just so bad. Bonehead penalties and creates 0 offense. He has a negative impact on this team. And Lowry continues to play him.

Finland has a couple of forwards
